Hello all. I'm back from the dreaded Tesco. It was fully stocked and fully staffed so clearly it was just the drivers who couldn't get in. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want anyone to take a risk to deliver my shopping, but I think the way it was handled was rubbish. I did get £10 off code though, so every cloud.......
Tia- glad your OH is okay, I would have been worried too.
csh- yay for being on fb
Glam- nice to see you back on here
Bruno- I know how your OH feels, and have been guilty of going a little OTT in my texts to OH when he is at work. I think everyone's suggestion of an afternoon or morning off for your OH is an excellent one though. You do feel so much better after a little 'me' time.

glam- its hard to know what to for best with weaning when all the jars/packets say 4months, some books say 6 months. we know best!! lol!!! Kian hasnt gone for food yet but prob cos we try and wait till he's asleep to have ours. but i do see him watching us eat and drink. think i'll try and wait unless like Jack he is really showing signs of wanting the food.
DH is much better!! thanks. still has his moments. he had a big falling out with my sis when she was here. (they fight like brother and sister, and things have been said in the past by my sis that were quite hurtful to us both) but the new shop is going well if a bit quiet. and he is doing more to help me round the house. and i get to go out for a coffee/library visit on his day off. when he goes back to having 2days a week off in Feb, he will have Kian one morning a week so i can sleep in, get my hair done etc. basically it will be my day off!!
we'll have to organise another TC meet. maybe feb, not school hols though!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

A baby that fits his bumbo? Makes me realise just how small Andrew is! (makes mental note to take a photo later just to demonstrate!) The nape of his neck just touches the ridge section on the back of his bumbo, and his feet just sit on the leg holes!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

GISI - Hi, I was just flicking back and wondered if you had got back OK!
I braved the snow on Tuesday with Jack in the sling but didn't dare go yesterday for his jabs as another 3 inches had fallen!
How cute is Henry in his Bumbo!!!
Jack tries to escape his by flicking his bum up in the air - don't think I'll be leaving the room while he's in it. It looks like he's about to fall out the back!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

To continue the weaning discussion, we also don't know if Andrew shows interest in our food - breakfast is eaten on the fly; lunch is eaten when he's having an afternoon nap; and our evening meal is eaten after he is put to bed upstairs! But he does wrinkle his nose when he smells us cooking dinner, particularly the Christmas dinner!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

It 'says' not before 6 months but definitely nothing before 17 weeks so I say anything between 17 weeks and 24 weeks is OK if they are showing signs they want it. I know that Jack is due a growth spurt which is why his bottles have been increased, after all the other day I was moaning he was barely taking 5ozs and now he's draining 7ozs bottles like there's no tomorrow and is having an extra bottle a day. If it continues like this and his feeds become more frequent than 2.5hrs then IMO he needs more than just milk.
I have got my little pots ready for making and freezing stuff in ice cube size trays. ASDA had a load of bowls and snack pots reduced which can go in a steam steriliser so got them while they were on offer. I also got sent some vouchers from C&G but I plan to use Baby Rice then fruit and veg and just use the ready made pots for out and about and for food I don't like - fish especially! Most stuff will be homemade thoughA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
