    Morning all

Sick today, nasty cold/sinus/fever type stuff... weighing up whether it's bad enough to properly call in sick. More likely I'll go in and pick up work laptop (which aggravatingly I left at the office because for once last night I didn't need to work...) then come home and get essential things done while being slack the rest of the time. I feel pretty grim though, we shall see.

Elijah woke at 6 today, much better and was also able to ignore him and let him babble and grouch for nearly an hour before getting up, so some extra dozing there.

OH was very guilty in the morning yesterday, she is just a totally irrational beast when woken from sleep. She didn't remember much of what she'd said and she coped fine all day yesterday so I am not too too worried.

    What is the documentary??

Sami - The moses, is it just the basket bit then? Just been reading back and saw your friend needs the stand back. If so don't worry about it hon, I will just bite the bullet and buy that cheap Asda one...I do really like it:) TBH I feel maybe I should buy this baby something new as pretty much everything else I will be using is Kai's........

I am not saying whether I am coming to TC or not, I will either be there or not...sorry to be vague about it but I don't want to say I am coming and then not turn up or say it isn't possible and then suddenly appear!!

D'ya know, my friend who was round yesterday has decided she is not having any more kids so I asked her what she is doing with all the baby stuff....she said keeping it for now 'just in case' You would think she might offer to borrow me bits wouldn't ya?? She has moses, car seat, doppler, all sorts just sitting in her attic and I even dropped a few hints, but nothing!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Maybe she accidentally missed the end of the auction or had an auction snipe set up which didn't work.

I'm just watching the program about older mothers on BBC1, going to have to turn it off though :( That poor little 7 month old with the 72 year old mother. I'm sorry if others have different views but I just don't think it's right.

I don't think it's right either. My parents are 59 and 64 and look after Charlotte and while they don't mind having her for a few hours in a morning, they've both said they're glad they haven't got her full time! I've no idea how the lady will cope chasing after a toddler, and it's not fair on the child who is not going to have a mother in their life for long. I'm 34 but still rely on advice and help from my Mam!
My ex workmate txt me today to say one of the service users had passed away in her dads arms, it was a young lady I was particuarly fond of so will prob end up going home for her funeral. She is in a better place now x x

Sorry to hear that. Thinking of you *hugs*

My ex-mother rang me tonight, to tell me i only have a problem with her because i'm angry about my ex-OH?? Umm how could that be, it's nothing to do with her and i don't let him affect my life, i only talk about him on here. Then she went on to tell me how i'm such a bad person because i've never had a successful relationship (i'm only bloody 24, i was with ex for 3 years...) This is coming from the sad old hag who drinks 3 bottles of wine a night while sat on her fat lazy !!!! claiming benefits she's not entitled to. I can honestly say i don't want to ever see her again, and i won't regret that if she [STRIKE]pickles her liver[/STRIKE] gets run over by a bus tomorrow I'd be sad, but relieved because all she's ever done is try and drag me to her level. She's trying to say it's me with the problem because my ex left me too. She's welcome to think that, but i might change my number cos i'm not interested in her alcoholic opinions.

I would just ignore her. It doesn't really matter what she thinks. Just walk away and have nothing to do with her anymore. You don't need hassle like that in your life.
Here I go again on my own....

    Morning all,

Hope everyone had a good sleep and all babies were good. I have caught up from last night but I cant really remember much ....

Glad you had a good time gisi, sounds as if Henry couldnt have been more well behaved if he tried - Lucky You!

Bruno pleased you and OH had a better sleep last night it doesnt half make a difference.

I dont know why she didnt offer mel, perhaps she thought with Kai still being a baby you would have most of the stuff? *insert shrug*
What else are you looking to need for bubs numero 4? Are you nearly all set? Have you thought of any names yet?

Morning Weezl, hope your well this morning!
Oooops also meant to say get weel soon to Bruno

It was an Independent midwife who did not follow procedures she should have and was on her own so it is highly unlikely to happen with an NHS homebirth however it is unpleasant and distressing so I wouldn't advise anyone who was pregnant to read it as you are likely to be more upset by that kind of thing when pregnant.

Thank you, I shall stay blissfully unaware :)

I agree about being more upset by things when PG.

Susan have you read 'stop the traffik'? It's very moving in my PG state!

She's abit hard work mind, I was putting my Joey on today and she just picked Jack up! I don't even know her that well just to say hi to, not sure if she thought she was being helpful but I was bit !!!!!!???

That's quite common over here - if people perceive you as struggling to manage something and a baby they'll come and grab your baby. If she's used to that and she's met you before she probably would be mortified that it upset you. I'm not defending it cause I hate it - but she's not just some nutter, IYSWIM? Well, she probably isn't.

I agree. It's not even just the abstract idea "I'll be 90 when he's 18" - she'll probably be dead of old age, and he'll have to deal with losing his mother when he's a tiny boy, or she'll be ill first and he'll have to deal with losing his childhood in looking after her and then deal with losing her.
I'd rather not waste taxpayer money by phoning the bobbies because they are banging on my ceiling and being turd munchers.

Call the non-emergency line and tell them you're feeling threatened by them because they're harassing you and say you've not felt right about calling but when he barged in shouting and your daughter was naked he really frightened her. To be totally cynical about it, a small child is the trump card - people who don't like noise come second to the needs of a small one, and if Keira was upset by it that should be reported and documented. Fire with fire, BM, come on! If he happened to make any kind of comment about your OH I'd complain that he's a racist too.

3, I'm so glad the bus went ok yesterday. Fingers crossed...

Big hugs scruffy and Beenie - Beenie, it sounds like you, DS and Amber would be better off without her.

Only one of my 15 ebay items is selling at the moment :( I hope the rest of you have better luck.

    Feel better Bruno...

I'm always impressed at the resilience of some of the little babies on this thread. I'm considering getting some counselling because I'm still finding it hard to deal with Molly's birth and the effects it seems to have had on me; some of you mummies had it so much harder and you're doing so well. I'm all :j and :o.
