I like that idea sami. Also, can we have a 'rule' mentioned in the opening post, that if you have a question or something important you need replies to, can you bold it?

One thing I find, is I don't like to comment when I don't remember all the details. Perhaps it'd be helpful if people occasionally post a summary? Like for example newbies might not know that I have anxiety, and that is why I struggle to go out. If I post that i'm having a hard day, I could put in brackets (because I have an anxiety disorder) or something?

Sami how would that work? If people don't have to catch up then wouldn't more stuff be missed?
Do you mean getting rid of this one and having daily chat instead? Maybe the daily chat OP could have a run down of each days milestones/events so then everything would be acknowleged :rotfl:

Anyway i just found out that weigh clinic is today (finishes at 12) or Friday pm so will have to go then. I thought i'd have been a good candidate for being seen again since i'm totally alone and considering i was given ad's during pregnancy.
Also rang to let them know i still have the gas and air from my HB 5 weeks ago

my thinking is, if the thread closes each day then there will be less bring up of things talked about days ago and therefore less posts to get lost it
and that if people can focus on just one day they won't end up reading loads and forgetting that they'd noticed one post that had been reply-less IYSWIM?

I know what you mean. I went to my usual baby group this morning and there was a lady there I'd not seen before. Her baby girl was asleep in the pushchair and had got her EARS PIERCED! ALittle later I asked her how old the baby was and she said 8 months. It really makes me want to cry - I just couldn't do that to a baby

Feely i hope my groups will be a bit like that so i can come away feeling smug From what i remember with DS, everyone was looking down their noses at me cos they were all older, married, loads of money, nice cars etc. Fair enough i was 17 and single but i was hardly tracksuited up with a clown necklace and chavness

(edit - i once knew someone who gave her baby coke (cola!) in a bottle scab. So wrong.)

Aah thanks Sami i didn't think to look in there, and you haven't abandoned me, you lot are keeping me (semi:p) sane!!

Hello all,

Not been on much the past few days. I have totally given up with trying to keep up, so apologies to everyone for not knowing what is going on. If I am in the house, I can try and keep up, but I think I am wasting my life by spending all my spare time trying to read all of the posts, so I need to stop that. Just going to pop in now and again and read when I can. Hope that’s ok with everyone.

Had a funeral yesterday so OH took the day off work, and we were going to take H swimming for the first time in the afternoon, but my period came so didn’t go after all. This morning, we are meant to be at Kindermusik, but H has been feeding funny for a few days and by the time I had her fed, changed, and into the car, I realised I was going to be too late and it wasn’t worth the rush, so we are having a nice day in today instead.

I caved in and ordered a Sophie too! Everyone seems to have one, and H is continually chewing her Anna Banana, so I think the legs would be a good shape for her. Other teethers seem too big at the moment and she has no interest in them. Her RL friend has one too and apparently loves it.

I need to go looking for a highchair this weekend, so will start by going to see the highly rated Ikea one. Does anyone else have any other recommendations?

Caz – I don’t really know the background of your situation, but hope you get things sorted out. Glad your HV is being helpful.

Feelie – I am really glad you have been getting out and about! Well done you. Make sure you don’t overdo things though. I am quite pleased that you didn’t like the group today – if you were throwing yourself into loving everything, then it wouldn’t be realistic, so pick and choose as you like. X

AF – Happy Australia Day for yesterday!

SS – I had a difficult labour, but the midwives were brilliant so I can’t imagine the trauma you have had. Definitely get help to try to deal with it though as you don’t want to hang on to these things and have them play on your mind and crop up now and again.

Harley – How is Kezia now? Is she back to her normal self?

Bruno – Hope you feel better. Did you make it into work? Hope you don’t pass your germs onto E and OH! Keep well away from them!

SM – Great bargains. I got a Morrisons “The Best” whole Morello Cherry & Madagascan Vanilla Cheesecake for 9p yesterday!!!! It was gorgeous. But you need to kick my backside as I am not shifting any weight!

Then I'd have to read the end of the previous night's thread (because I don't stay up as late as Elle) and also the start of the new day's thread (because I don't get up as early as Bruno). :rotfl:

I have often thought it would be better to have 2 threads - a chat thread, and an advice/moneysaving/support thread, as posts do get lost easily.

Also, Scruffy was saying that she finds it difficult to remember who is who, so I was going to suggest that we make a list of user names and children (names/ages) similar to the EDD list on the pregnancy thread. It could just be posted at the start of the thread and edited or updated as new people join etc. Obviously not if you are going to close the thread though, but just a thought. I am quite good with names so can remember most people, but have no idea about the ages of some children!

Also on a daily thread if people refer to events that happened yesterday and someone hadn't read yesterdays, you'd either have to go and catch up or be excluded from the conversation or have the details endlessly repeated so everyone could talk about the same thing IYKWIM
