Raisins..... I asked about raisins years ago when DD was young as people often told me to avoid them but no one could answer why, eventually i found out from my dentist that they advice not to give them (sultanas etc too) because the skin can get caught between teeth and gums and as they are high in natural sugars or something of the sort they increase tooth decay if not removed properly in young children.
hmmm think that's the first time I've actually been help full with my trivial knowledge :T[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Porridge - I end up with too much! Too thick, then too runny then just right. Good job its nice so Mummy has some!
Elle - J seems to be chomping food like there's no tomorrow but he isnt fussed with Milk. I read that at 6months they only need 600ml - which is probably what he's having now.
Did anyone on here not go onto Follow On Milk and stay on Stage 1?
Am surprised at a response to my poll about going onto cows milk at 6months (confused)A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

That's good with the grapes...kai just shoves the whole thing in his mouth so I have to cut them inhalf or quarters for him...hence barely bothering as it is a bit faffy:oUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Yesterday we went out to a Hungry Horse pub (we often go actually) and youshould have seen Kai gobbling down my dessert...it was the thickest, gooyest, chocolate fudge cake smothered in rich chocolate sauce and served with ice-cream.....he couldn't get enough. I was doing one spoon each and everytime I put the spoon in my mouth he huffed and opened his mouth as wide as possible:o:rotfl:
This is exactly what she was doing. Her first mouthful was so funny. She looked at me as if she knew it was forbidden food.

My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »I am sure you know this but screaming or reacting to being bitten can make the problem worse. It can make it like a game to baby. Best thing to do is to not react and take them off with a firm NO and stop feeding for a time. Or, if they are clamping down, push their face into your boob so they have to release to breathe (Krystal's trick).
Luckily Benjamin has never been a massive biter, but it could be worth checking your positioning too, obviously as they get bigger the way you hold them has to change too.
I know and I shouldn't have done it, it was just the shock
She's starting to get tired now, finally. She's not napped more than 40 minutes at a stretch all day. She and Papa are playing Youtube Jukebox and singing songs.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Oh yeah, porridge servings are always too thick, more milk, too thin, more porridge.. repeat to fade  Rhys is only having one course at the minute, then a yoghurt or fruit an hour or so later. He's filling up on food and not milk these days and he's still only little so don't want to give him even more food and him not get the milk, iyswim
Rose will only take 2 bottles now, morning and night. I did start to cut back on the food so she'd take more but it didnt work, so we have 3 meals and 2 bottles xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090
