Evening all
NICKI my wee one has reflux. We were given Gaviscon which made no difference at all and last week was put onto Ranitidine some of you will remember my concern over this medicine spoke to different pharmacist(sp) yesterday who advised me to stop giving this to my wee boy.Baby boy 8/05/090 -
Thanks mm. I'm still breastfeeding, though with one ff at night, and the gaviscon was a biatch to get into him. I think his bf position does have his head slightly elevated, though its hard to know for sure. I will try the winding idea. I hope that he does grow out of it. I only know two people IRL whose kids have this - one is 6 and the other is 10, and both still suffer badly!
The paediatrician has suggested that the next stage is for a gastro referral and probably a camera down into his tummy to see if all is ok down there. Has this been suggested to you?
It has been mentioned, but only if his weight gain drops again. Since we started on perscription milk with the omeprazole, even though he is still being sick, he has been gaining weight, so they are leaving it for now to see if weaning him helps, as this can sometimes end all symptoms. I know one girl whos LO had the camera done and it showed that the opening of the tummy was wider than it was supposed to be, was a very quick little op that solved it, but she was 3 before they had it done, and was old it would have been better if she was younger, so at least they are offing you it nowThe two best things I have done with my life

Tara - are you watching new series or old? We are gonna catch up on Series 5 (?) before Series 6 (?) starts.
SS - what did you do when Molly bit you? Have you been putting anything on her gums? It hurts doesn't it! Benjamin has had a funny latch today which makes me think that the 2 lumps that have been on his gums for over a week might break through v soon. I think my nipples are tough as old boots these days thoughplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Also - is the honey ban til 1 or later? This is the only one that I kind of take any notice of because of the botulism thing.
I've just been reading the AK puree book again and she suggests dried fruit (raisins and apricots specifically) from 7mths in the finger foods section
Yup, honey is one year (info)
Daddy and Rhys have fallen out. Rhys wouldn't eat his tea when Daddy fed him, but wolfed it down when I took over :whistle:0 -
SS, thanks I actually feel loads better (woohoo, it seems to have passed!) since having some 7UP & cream crackers (what my mommy used to feed me when sicky). Hope the little man behaves tonight though so I can get some recovery sleep!
I am so not looking forward to teething, based on the stories from here! I just cringe at the very thought of something sharp chomping on my nipples...
tara, is that with the double-miles deal? I need to do that but waiting for Feb's points...top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Thanks, I am made up as feeding has been tricky with him only using his hands.
MFD - I don't know of any reason he couldn't eat raisins....I haven't tried Kai with them yet, but the older two love them. i think I just thought he wouldn't be able to chew them??Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -

I screamed like a girl
Then I very shakily informed her that biting is painful, took her off gently and winded her to give us both a little break and put her back on.
