Mel - Katie loves to clean the table after we've finished eating whether at home or out.

She's been very sweet today playing shopping with us, but she did get upset when we gave her money and took whatever it was, she wanted us to have the money too!

    MDW

:AHow sweet of her. I think I might try and encourage his new found want for cleanliness....although doubt it will last;)

:rotfl:I'm laughing cause Molly's not had a bath in a week and the dirt under her nails is enough to plant a potato field.

Also interested in salt and pepper beancurd - I love tofu.

Ds2 has gone on a sleepover for his friends birthday he went at 4.30 and will be back in the morning about 10.30, so we went out to a Hungry Horse, Kai was hilarious. After we finished eating I was wiping the table in front of his with a napkin as it was a bit wet and sticky, I then just pushed the napkin to one side and Kai grabbed it and started wiping the table himself...he has never done anything like that before:rotfl: I was laughing my head off then he pushed it back to me so I could wipe again, we then sat for the next 10mins taking it in turns to wipe the table:rotfl:

That is completely adorable :) Izzy loves wiping the table/plastic cloth I put on the floor when she is eating. I'm trying to encourage her to put things away too - you never know, she might have inherited the tidy gene which has eluded both me and DH :rotfl:.

(ps, this curry is really hot! I like spicy food, but this is vering towards too-hot for me... it's yummy though :) )

I've got all my fairy post things ready to go.

Does anyone have opinions on baby floation devices? Me and LO are going swimming, and I'm thinking we'll just go 'au natural'? (no floats armbands, but with clothes! Funny story, I went to a nudist club once, to fufil my lifetime ambition of swimming nude).

What a confession! :rotfl: Did it live up to your expectations?

We use a seat thingy - but we've not been since summer. It was quite handy as she can float around, and I could even rest my chin on it and swim her up and down the pool!

Your 'get up and go ness' has made me find out about my aqua tots sessions so we'll be going on Tuesday. :D

Mel DD1 is at a sleepover party tonight too. It seems to be the done thing for 9 year olds. She's gone looking very cool wearing lots of black and with crimped hair. She's going for the Lady Sov. look apparently (whoever she is!) - but I had to draw the line at black eyeshadow!

PP1 - I was 16 when my little sis. was born in the May as I left school. I've bumped into old school friends since who've asked me how my baby was - meaning the one I secretly had when I left school! :rotfl:

Who was having stiff drinks? I'll join you with a nice glass of pink.

No idea how they make it, but it is deep fried beancurd that is a bit salty and with sesame seeds and chilli. It isn't in a sauce or anything. They do it as a starter in our favourite chineese here.

My favourite thing to have is satay veg, but I'm still avoiding peanuts, so no satay for me. The first thing I'm going to do when Izzy's stops breastfeeding is order satay veg (I would say a pad thai, but our scrummy thai place is gone... there is a new one, but we've not tried it yet - having a baby has put a stop to our restaurant visiting ways ;))

Mine was too  I used half a jar of paste instead of a quarter. Was very nice though and even better cos it had been in the oven for an hour and a half - nomnomnomnomnom

After his carby dinner J was sparko until my dinner came and he tried to eat that as well :rotfl:He's just having a cuddle with Daddy then I'll get him ready for bed, not gonna feed him til 9pm cos he woke up FAR too early this morning!

PS Sleep training last night lasted til 1.30 and then I got too tired and she was really upset so I brought her in with me. Won't help her I know but at least we all got some sleep!

Jam, would you not consider co-sleeping all the time? I'm doing it and absolutely love it, Erin has been waking up a lot recently but I just put her on and go back to sleep so it hardly bothers me and according to Dr Sears it may be a while before she goes to her own bed but it will happen and it's actually best for all of us. Can provide more info if you want.

well my little man has been asleep since 1!! I'm tempted to wake him just b/c I'm always scared that sleeping too much in the day = no sleep at night, but then again the usual mantra is don't wake a sleeping baby *insert confused face*....

Is it true? Also do you think that babies can watch too much tele?

I was going to ask what people thought of this I was going to get it but now I see that boots one is cheaper so not sure which to get. When I went swimming at xmas Erin was just in her swim nappy and it was about 50/50 for those in just nappies and those in swimming costumes. They had floats there like the boots one and I loved it because I could put Erin in then push her along while I had a good swim.
