Evening....I don't think I even mentioned newbies in any of my posts, I was merely saying it is busy with posts, not posters as I was trying to ensure no-one felt singled out!:( I am very sociable and love meeting new people on here or irl:)

Ds2 has gone on a sleepover for his friends birthday he went at 4.30 and will be back in the morning about 10.30, so we went out to a Hungry Horse, Kai was hilarious. After we finished eating I was wiping the table in front of his with a napkin as it was a bit wet and sticky, I then just pushed the napkin to one side and Kai grabbed it and started wiping the table himself...he has never done anything like that before:rotfl: I was laughing my head off then he pushed it back to me so I could wipe again, we then sat for the next 10mins taking it in turns to wipe the table:rotfl:

SS - Sorry to hear you are upset about the result...I really hope it happens for you soon;)

Squishy - i am so sorry to hear your friends news, I miss my booys when they are just away for one night...I couldn't imagine life without any of them, in fact when I am pregnant I have terrifying dreams usually involving losing one or all of the kids, or them losing me, in some way, not always dying...I can't imagine her grief at the moment.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Weezl, have you tried your local netmums for sale board? I was looking at ours earlier and there were a couple of BN birthing pools which hadn't been required because Mum had needed to have a hospital birth in the end.. :)

What a great idea! Not that I mind if anyone else has used it :D. Before fergie I had to wipe some 'hairs' out from the last labouring user :o

  • SM - Boil up some pasta, when pasta nearly done chuck in some peas, grill some bacon until crispy, when all done mix together with a good splosh of double cream.

    Or

    Split pea and bacon soup.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

  • Evening all. First of all SS I'll join you for that stiff drink. I'm not stressed about anything, but never turn down a !

Am I the only one NOT going to the post office on monday? I've been trying to think if there is something I've forgotten I need to post, but no, I can't think of anything.
I've got all my fairy post things ready to go.

Does anyone have opinions on baby floation devices? Me and LO are going swimming, and I'm thinking we'll just go 'au natural'? (no floats armbands, but with clothes! Funny story, I went to a nudist club once, to fufil my lifetime ambition of swimming nude).

We don't use armbands or anything, I just hold onto her. I might get some soon though - when she seems to be wanting to do her own thing if I've not got her confident on her own (which I probably won't have managed to do, seeing as we only go about once a month :o) .

You lot have made me hungry with all your tales of takeaway over the past few weeks. So I have just had salt and pepper beancurd, and I'm about to have some rice and thai red mushroom curry. And it's all mine ;)

I keep waking DH up on the sofa to remind him to eat some of his, but he is well away. He has burried the remote under him too, so I'm stuck on bbc2. So there is a documentary on newsnight just starting. Probaby not what I would pick if I could find the remote, but I'm sure it will be interesting.

  • Squishy - What awful news - A family member lost their DD age 1 yr when DD2 was 6 months old - it was a tragic accident and I still cant really understand how they cope with it. It also made me very paranoid and protective of my 2. My thoughts are with your friend and her family.

  • Mel - Katie loves to clean the table after we've finished eating whether at home or out.

She's been very sweet today playing shopping with us, but she did get upset when we gave her money and took whatever it was, she wanted us to have the money too!
