Is it sad that I thought I would see if you or Weezl let LO's have the jab before I decided about J as I knew you would have done lots of research on it? :o

It's just a variation of the normal flu vaccine which is changed each year anyway.
it was something you said that helpped me decide! :p I thought you'd already decided he'd have it though?

What a confession! :rotfl: Did it live up to your expectations?
    ....
Mel DD1 is at a sleepover party tonight too. It seems to be the done thing for 9 year olds. She's gone looking very cool wearing lots of black and with crimped hair. She's going for the Lady Sov. look apparently (whoever she is!) - but I had to draw the line at black eyeshadow!

PP1 - I was 16 when my little sis. was born in the May as I left school. I've bumped into old school friends since who've asked me how my baby was - meaning the one I secretly had when I left school! :rotfl:

Who was having stiff drinks? I'll join you with a nice glass of pink.
I quoted feely but forgot to comment  Feely you are brave, I'd never go nudey no matter who was or wasn't looking
Lady sov was/is(??) on celeb bb she's a crap rapper chav

.. Mum and dad came this morning to look after the boys whilst I went to the hospital for an ultrasound scan. Doc had sent me to see if I had gallstones, am pleased to report that I don't!

    Hurrah for stone-free innards! ;) :j :T

I think my post was taken a bit out of context :(

I just meant the reason its hard to keep up is cos theres a lot of ladies over from the preg thread, I didnt say newbies were a bad thing! Why would I think that? *insert shrug here*

If people find it hard to keep up, just jump in at the end of the page! I used to try and keep up, now I just skim over the last page or two

3 - This is ds2 who has gone...he's only 7!! Ds1 has never slept out at a friends house?? The parrents must be brave, have you done a sleepover at your house yet, I am being pestered by ds2 to have his 2 best friends over one weekend.

Jennynoo - Do you not worry about not getting your LO into their own bed. My friend had her little girl in with her and had an absolute nightmare getting her into her own room/bed she was 7yrs old before she manged it fully and even then she would wake up and cry in the night.... I am not meaning to put you (or anyone else) off doing it, but just wondered if you had thought about when and how you will make the transfer.
I am the opposite you see, my kids are not even allowed in my room, never mind my bed and with the exception of ds2(who was a very clingy baby day or night) they have all been great sleepers from a young age. If they are ill or restless at night I go to them, never bring them to me....I think that may sound harsh to some people but it works for us and means me and dh get our own space to do 'couple things;)' (although given that we are on baby 4 maybe we should think about co-sleeping:p)
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

    Evening all :)

Edit - I tried the glow worm with Benjamin this evening. I don't think it is for us - he just laughed at it, held it really close to his face so his face lit up and danced to the music LOL!!

Do you think that salty chilli mixture would go on tripe? OH has some and I would like to make it palatable. It makes me gag in its normal form.

  • I love deep fried beancurd. I particularly love the way they do it at Wagamamas. Do you eat much tofu? Have you ever tried it mushed up and fried with spices and veggies, kind of a tofu version of scrambled egg? It is nom, nom.

Can I be nebby :o (thanks for that word, Elle, never heard it before you used it one here) and ask why you're avoiding peanuts? I'm a nut fiend and would find it so hard!

Well, I feel a little less stressed as we just had a mini-breakthrough. LO woke up in his cot, we put his glow seahorse on and he re-settled himself.

    :T:T

I'm avoiding peanuts, as I'm still BF. The advice has changed, to say you can eat them while BF unless you have allergies in the family (and depending on who you ask, if there is excema, asthma or hay fever in the family). We have all 4 in the family, and when I spoke to the doctor about it she said that the advice keeps changing so often she didn't know either, but it might be an idea to play it safe. I miss my peanuts though :(

I've not been to Wagamamas, or had scrambled tofu - I keep meaning to try doing it myself, but I've never got around to it. One day :)
