just debating whether to do the race for life - could I do it with J in the pushchair?

Me, Mum, Sis, Liv & V are doing it! We're running (:rotfl:) while Mum walks with V & buggy!

Mel The sleepover craze probably started about a year ago for the 8th birthdays. Liv had hers last October for her 9th, her and four other girls. It wasn't actually too bad. They came at 5pm and we did pressies. then we went for an hours bowling and on to Pizza Hut where we had to sit at a separate table to the girls because we're not cool! :o
Then back to ours at about 9pm with the girls in their pj's, snuggled under blankets watching a scarey film (Coraline) with popcorn while OH & I hid upstairs.
After the film (11ish) they were allowed to watch another up in bed, quietly. I fell asleep, but OH had to go and tell them to be quiet when they were playing hide and seek in her room at 3.30am!
Mums came to collect them at 11am - and Liv slept most of the afternoon!

SS - TRIPE!! I always think of it as dog food, cos it's what my mum and her friend used to feed the dogs when we/they were skint in the old days. Apparantly it was really cheap and you could get a big load off the butcher for pennies, we used to have to evacuate the house as it was cooking cos it is rank...:oOoops, enjoy your tripe:p

  • Mel - getting Katie out of our bed is a concern but not one I'm going to deal with until once she stops bf and moves into her own room. When the time comes though I'll probably just use the rapid return technique on her.
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    DD Katie born April 2007!

  • Hi Everyone , thought I should make the effort now and again to post, I read most days, but rarely have anything to add.

I have my first day back at work on Monday (only going back 20 hrs pw) and I'm really dreading it. Not so much leaving LO as DH will be looking after her (opposite shifts), I just really don't want to go back to my job. Never mind (and sorry for moaning), I'm sure it'll be fine once I'm there!

    Hope all are well

    Sal -x-

Oh now that sounds extremely civilised...maybe because of the gender difference. The last sleepover Jaden went to was before christmas the reports back were, they went to an indoor play area hoping that would wear them out a bit haha! The boys didn't stop running/jjumping/play fighting for the full 2hrs...then back to the house where they tried to watch a film but it couldn't be heard over the noise of the boys throwing cushions and teddies at each other, so they were brought downstairs at 10pm to be fed some hot chocolate and toast after which they were told it was bed time, peace was only acheived by putting them on the playstation...although they were heard arguing about whose go it was:eek::eek::eek: I think I like yours better:o

I think my post was taken a bit out of context :(

I just meant the reason its hard to keep up is cos theres a lot of ladies over from the preg thread, I didnt say newbies were a bad thing! Why would I think that? *insert shrug here*

If people find it hard to keep up, just jump in at the end of the page! I used to try and keep up, now I just skim over the last page or two
I don't think anyone who posts here often thought that but if you were about to post for the first time and had just seen your post along with Mel's it may make you think twice IYSWIM?

Has anyone seen THIS pram in RL? It says the seat can be parent facing but I can't find anywhere that clearly says its PF when in the buggy set up or if they're reffering to it being PF when as a carry cot smiley-confused009.gif

LOL OH on hearing JLS on tv.. "is this Tinchy Rascal or whatever he's called?" Bless him! *roll eyes*

Rhys has obviously taken on board our coaxing while he's eating and he's now spending the whole mealtime going "Mmmmm... mmmmm.. mmmmm" :rotfl:

Hubby and DSS are sat watching QI whilst DSS drinks his milk. DSS says he watched the one last night with his mum so we told him that this one was the same...but he didn't quite catch on - as the guests were being introduced he said 'he won it last night' :rotfl::rotfl:

It is a good job that the winning isn't the point of the show!!!

I know I asked the nurse if they were doing it but I was still a bit

I did it last year Glam. To be honest I wouldn't, it is very busy, think 5,000 people all going through the start gates within the space of a few minutes. Lots of people walk it though!
Benjamin was only about 8 weeks or so when I did it so I ran for about 2 minutes and then walked for 2 minutes for most of the way.
It felt good to be doing something :)

MFD - Glad ur scan was OK but is it one of those, if its not gallstones then what is it????

The other tests I had were for liver function. The radiographer will write to my GP and then I have to go back in for the results.
Don't worry, I will keep you all informed!

Do you think that salty chilli mixture would go on tripe? OH has some and I would like to make it palatable. It makes me gag in its normal form.

In Barcelona I had tripe tapas which was much better than normal tripe. I wouldn't have chosen it myself but we hooked up with a mad drunken scottish couple who just ordered tons of stuff!!
    Happy days:beer:

I hate the stuff, but if he's determined to cook it it's going to at least be tasty, damn it!

Hello Sal - I had to go back to work too, I hope it goes ok for you. I hated it - and still hate it - but it's nice to be a person instead of Mama all the time, and seeing a small person's face light up when you walk in is almost worth it.
