cold weather payment postcode search [merged]

I have been on incap benifit for two years,I have had full medical test by the gov new system, I have been told by them not to expect to work again due to illness. I just don't get it, I really do sit with my waterbottle and blanket. When Asking about this cold weather payment, I have been reduced to crying as made to feel vey belittled. Why can't I get this help.

Just had a phone call saying money will be in my bank today.But he said the postcode checker isn't accurate so what it says might be different to what you get.

simply because incap isnt one of the qualifying benefits im afraid, lots of flaws in the system like why cant all vulnerable people on benefits get the winter fuel payment pensioners get, theyre just as cold and most pensioners i know just bank the money anyway, some are really ill and cold but they cant have it unless theyre a pensioner.

im in the north east, im due 4 cwp, i have now rang 3 times as i have not received anything, he said im due 4, and if there not in by end of jan, to phone back and they will send them out, i think it is shoking as i need the gas now and i needed it weeks ago, got a pre pay meter, they knew it was going to be cold, they manage to pay millions of peoples benefit so how have they got so snowed under. some people are getting told exact dates that there getting paid in, i asked him if he could tell me and said unless there is any notes on your file, i cant tell u anything, and he said ppl on IS and CTC are getting theres late cos the computer is missing them! is any1 frm north east got theres or not got theres? THANX. X

For some strange reason they have been sending me mine by giro. I have 2 have 1 left to get. Gonna cash them when it comes in.

dont care how they send them as long as they do lol its prob a bit quicker by giro to next day rather than 3 working days for bacs

Hi Gemma i'm also in the north east. I was having the exact same problem as you when i rang up. they'd say give it until the end of January, and if you havent recived any, then to give them a call.

I was also due 4 payments, and one actually went into my account this morning.

should have been at least 3 payments, seen as the first 3 are well overdue.

hi julio, well they sed it cud !!! by giro or bank, the first one i spoke to just cud not be arsed to look on the comp, so i rang bak to speak to sum one else, he was helpful but didnt really have a clue, i dnt undastand why i got to wait till end of jan, sure they cud c if it had been paid into my bank, so they knew i wasnt just lying, its a joke, last year i got 3 all came on wednesdays, i hope i get it soon, but i no wen i need it desperatly it never comes. i hate having to chase them for money, i wish i was bak workin, but i new to xpect them cos its been really cold. i got a letta this morning off them, to say my income suppert records were now held on computer? i allways thought they were on computer? every time u ring they look on the computer! wen i rang to ask why now suddenly there on comp, he sed cos it was clerical and there trying to get evryone on comp, maybe now im on comp i might get my CWP! its just my look, the 1 year ive been on IS my claim has allways got messed up, with late or missing giros, they once stopped it cos they sed i rang tellin them i was workin!? why wud i do that! they dnt tell u tho, its wen i went to bank and nowt was there, thats wen they tell u! god! different wen us owe them money, they take it like a shot out of our money, but when its the other way round, they dorddle on! thats my rant done! ill keep informed after checking my bank every day! let me know if u get any more! x

wish i had enuf heat to be able not to cash 50 quid in asap! lol! i wud be cashing it the minute i got them and put it straight on me meter, am sick of having my quilt rapped round me! didnt mean for that to sound bad! just sick of waiting!
