she can claim what she likes, the fact is your weather station has informed them of three triggers, if they hadnt why would it say three on the postcode checker, insist on speaking to a supervisor dont let them fob you off.
  • On the CWP postcode checker page from the DWP they are giving out the following info:

Please bear in mind that you should not expect payment immediately. It normally takes up to 12 days to process a payment.

perhaps explains why payments have been a little slow

In order for the scan to be carried out, the benefit computer systems have to be offline (i.e. not available to staff).

So that rules out the weekdays/daytime because the staff need to computers up to process new claims, process changes, answer the phones etc. It also rules out weekday evenings because all those changes have to be backed up to ensure the data isn't lost.

So that leaves the weekends for these scans to get done. And there's competing pressures for computer availability at weekends ... benefits have to be uprated for April, for example ... scans need to be carried out for that too.

So they're juggling the computer timetables about. They've closed the computers to staff early on a friday to enable more time to be available for these scans. But it's a juggling act. And frontline staff are only told about computer availability late in the day (if at all), that might account for some of the "vague" replies to "when is my cwp being sent out".

Plus of course there is the problem with the system not automatically picking up those on income support with a severe disability element for a child on CTC, so causing extra delay.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
