Julio_Geordio wrote: »Another wasted call to IS just now.
this time i tricked them, and gave my national insurance number before i'd even mentioned i was phoning about cold weather payments.
but as soon as i mentioned cold weather, she went straight into read from a script mode. how can they sit there and try and say they have no idea who has been payed, who hasnt been payed, and when you will be payed.
saying i'll be paid by the end of January is just not good enough imo, esp when you havent even had one of the 4 payments.
what irritates me even more is my brother and sister in law who have 2 children aged 8 and 9 live about 7 doors up from me, both parents are jointly claiming JSA and have had 3/4 payments.
Might seem a bit mean, but surely those on IS and carers allowance, for caring for children with a disability, shouldnt be made to wait this long.
as it is, i'm running out of money, to keep loading onto the gas meter, which eats through it.
Before CTC was introduced all info was hel on IS computers this isn't the case any longer.*SIGH*0 -
Because they have to manually scan your entitlement, as I said before the only group of claimants having problems are those who get IS and CTC with a disability premium.
Before CTC was introduced all info was hel on IS computers this isn't the case any longer.
My BDC which is in Nottingham has received it's scan information, and has started to process claims that have not been made automatically.
As my entitlement is Income Support with my children in receipt of DLA, so the premium is on the CTC, I am in the group that is affected by this system flaw.
My first trigger was on the 23rd December, and a giro was produced on the 9th Jan. The second trigger from the 5th Jan has not yet been processed.
Hopefully, for everyone else, things should now start happening,
Regards

 oh that's a whole new thread in itself
That could start riots.lol, i was led to believe it was southampton
Ooops, my mistake. One of your posts mentioned Clydebank BDC so I just assumed (yeah, I know...) that you were phoning them each time.
When I first read it I thought you said you'd phoned the Clydesdale bank (my banking people) and they had told you when the trigger dates were and when the money would be in your account etc. I thought it was remarkable that your bank were able to give you more information than what a lot of people, quoted on here, were getting from the DWP. :embarasse
It's alright, I know I'm an eejit at times, it's nothing new. lolJulio_Geordio wrote: »Some people have all the luck
nice one Geoff
I think Geoff must have a really sexy phone voice because, reading through the posts on here and the problems people have getting a straight answer from IS etc, he seems to be the only one that gets the [correct] answers each time and doesn't get the runaround? :rotfl:
Sorry folks for hijaking the thread.

I see the Directgov website has added this 'disclaimer' ................
Please bear in mind that you should not expect payment immediately. It normally takes up to 12 days to process a payment.Oh what's the bloody point...?0 -

I think they need to make it higher than 12 days, cause for some its already well past it.0
