Clare - I thought of these as you wanted something to do, but they remind me of something in a cracker. Not sure what you think? Here's the site, have a look to see if there's anything else suitable. There was a Bushtucker Trial thing - could have been fun ;) but it's OOS.

I have a lovely template for a triangular box rufus, it will still fit in after eights (depends how large you make it). I'll go find it incase anyone else wants it. ETA Here are the instructions.

    Hello all :j
Still snow on the pavements and its icy everywhere apart from town centre -I've not braved it out the door yet !!
I'm such a numpty............ordered two dvd's from amazon for OH...........now I find out the dvd players broken  He says he's not bothered as we never buy dvd's.............. We have got a portable kicking about somewhere (I think!) if not I'll have to get him a little one.

esmer - was it you have delivery problems with amazon ? I've ordered stuff from there and its come within a week ............having said that still waiting for one of OH's dvd's. You can always go on the site and see where stuffs got to.

Need to get a cheap mobile phone for our lad (payg)........no point in getting anything too good as he tends to ''lose'' them -any ideas wheres the best place ?

Took nearly all day to stuff pair of socks into a jar for ''sock jam'' -made a mess up of sticking the letters on the label I'd printed out so had to do that again, then trying to hold fabric topped on with elastic bands 3 times they pinged off and ended up somewhere I know not:eek: Done now thank goodness...........so tomorrow will be re-wrapping son and his girlfriends pressies and maybe, just maybe, cutting material I've got for a thicker curtain for our back door.

Weathermen say its warming up tomorrow........think they're having a laugh ! Then they're forecast more snow next week which will put paid to OH's hospital appointment:mad: Oh I don't like this white stuff:mad:

Hope you're all ok and keeping warm.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I seen this on grabbit forum for the mobile phone

    Xmas Saver!
Cheated slighty, should of had my OU assisgnment done for 2mor, but we had a day of days, post came - letter from the court, my ex is taking me to court to get parental rights and access to Miss Hoodie. Considering shes 8, he's seen her once, which he walked right past us....... and up till 6 months ago was living 8 miles from us. So that hit like a brick. Spent most of the day trying to track down my solicitor, the police, (we have an issue for domestic violence going through), school - for added security, and doc's - to get me through it all.

So decided to hit the bedrooms and start moving the xmas prezzies into the dining rm ready for wrapping.

Updated my bday and xmas list, Miss hoodie has not decided she wants to buy something for the whole class.......... !!

But my birthday totals very plzed with these-

    Budget £505
    Spent £293.32
    Saved £211.32

    Proper price - £741.44

    Very chuffed with that....... xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Morning Everyone

Glad everyone who was poorly is getting better, (((HUGS))) to everyone who needs one today.

Had a mad couple of days here but got nothing christmassy done, finished everything off for DS1's birthday tomorrow...OMG he will be 10 how do they grow up so quickly???

Got a few bits of shopping done yesterday, bit of retail therapy helps put everything into perspective, I got told on Tuesday that the post I'm in is not as busy as they thought and that I can finish on Friday :j:mad::j:mad::j as you can tell not really sure how I feel LOL ...................................:rotfl:

Hopfully they will find me a new post soon to cover but in the mean time I'm not sure what I will do, in some ways I'm glad as I will get to spend more time with my family over christmas but in other ways it just gives me more to sort out  just glad I've done all my shopping and have all the christmas presents sorted, juts goes to show being organised has its advantages and on the plus side it will give me chance to get my wrapping done LOL

Not had anymore snow, but its blinking freezing here, and the pavements are so Icy, we all managed to re-enact dancing on ice at some point yesterday which was fun...!!!

I have just ordered OH Xmas pressie now he has decided what he wants...Men!! and just have the food shop to do nearer to christmas :j

So plan for next week is to finishes wrapping, card writing and have a really good clean through as that has some what slipped with working full time.

Thanks for the box template elysia, I will make one up today and see how it goes.

Finished off the last shirt, photo on my blog. Thats his presents finished altogether. Youngest daugther's is just about finished too, she has a bag of little bits that I am going to hide for the treasure hunt on Christmas day and a few other bits to have on our special Monday when we have our extra Christmas day. She is also having money to buy some new clothes. I ordered her the second Twilight film off Amazon with another voucher I had and OH will buy her the new one.

All we have left to buy present wise are something each for the Grandchildren as they havent got much this year. Might get them all a pair of trainers or something. Will have a look tomorrow when we go out.

    Good Morning everyone,

Well My Ganache set for my DARK Chocolate, but the milk and white didnt. I will use these for Cupcakes fillings I think. I have redone my ratios on the site and will try again, but will have to go and get more chocolate. I will leave that one til we have a thaw on, or the roads have been cleared a bit.

I know exactly how your feeling! going through the same with my ex, I will be in court start of the year with him. He has not seen her since July, he stopped. But telling everyone who will listen that I stopped him!!! So Hugs to you, hope you have a good solicitor.

Going to get my list and get my xmas cards done, at this rate nobody will get them, seen as I have not seen a post man at all, or had post in over a week.

Hugs to Esmer and Mum2one - Eldest DD has never seen her Dad at all. She's 19 now and doesn't want to, even though people have brought it up many times over the years. She thinks he missed out on her growing up so it's his own fault. I can understand how you're both feeling though, I spent every second of her childhood looking over my shoulder. Grrrr Men.

Rufus - well done on completing everything - you all set for next year? :)

Mary - if you haven't got a portable DVD player I would just buy a basic DVD player again, you can get them around £20.

I hope everyone else is well.

Elysia - have some ideas for next year but determined to see this Christmas out first lol.

Was looking for ideas of how to make napkins rings this morning and found this site http://www.allyou.com/budget-home/christmas-napkin-ring-00400000060102/

Hope the link works, they are quite nice looking. I have quite a bit of "special" card upstairs like glitter and shiny etc so will be going up to have a go in a bit and the boxes too. Rufus xx
