CDSmiler, what about little pots filled with different games? Say one person has trivial pursuit questions to ask (9 questions so there can only be one person answering the most correctly), another with charades to hand out and the person who's guessed quickest wins, stuff like that, and then you can have prizes for the winners? It could be fun for between courses or after dinner?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hello all :j
mum2one - big hugs ((((((:o))))) - last thing you need is all that hassle. Thankfully when son and first girlfriend split up she had the twins but let him see them regularly and it worked out ok. Could easily have been different.
elysia - thanks for that dvd link...............might just get that.
lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:what can I say about that jumper and what a vision of that with sandals.......lol:rotfl::rotfl:
esmer - is the snow going yet ? Ours is bit by bit but not so you'd notice and we're waiting for the next lot:(
rufus - your shirt making takes me back a bit to when I used to go to jumble sales, buy adults shirts and, using pattern mum used for my brother, make shirts for my kids when they were little. Always managed to cut out where the buttonholes were so I didn't have to do them...........lol
Spent all day (well nearly) cutting down a huge bit of material to make a thicker curtain for the back door...........then found it was too short so had to cut another bit to add on............so two seams each side and a piece of tape to cover the join.............haven't hemmed the bottom yet. Wait till tomorrow morning when OH can hang it and see where it needs taking up. All this by hand  The main consolations - 1) at least now its virtually done and 2) I was sitting near the radiator so lovely and warm...........:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I've made a big effort with the xmas prezzies, there all piled up in the dining room, but there sorted into ladies, gents and kids. Miss Hoodie as asked if she can buy a present for each person in the class...... 22 kids...... me being me said yes!! luckly got swim bags that picked from halfcost for £1, there do for the girls, haven't figured the boys yet!
Getting slowly sorted, got solicitors app Monday am, then docs Mon ngt, my tutor has been brilliant, just asked for a weeks extension, just can't get my head around it.
Taking Miss Hoodie and her friend Sat to see Santa, then me and Miss Hoodie off to see the panto on Sunday, so be a good weekend.
Hopefully try and get some wrapping done.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Morning all
Up early to get a head start, it's DS1s birthday today, so his presents are out ready for him, I'm sure he will be up in the next hour or so. Also got to make him a Tudor outfit, letter came home yesterday, asking kids to put on the tudor clothes they wore on their trip out last month  didn't get time to look at it last night but should be easy.... I hope.
Going shopping today, booked the day off as it DSs birthday and didn't think he would be in school after struggeling to find places, so going to have a little mooch and pick up a few extras and whats left on my list.
I start my new post on Monday :j, only going to be working 3 days a week now :j so really pleased with that.
Right better go make another coffe and set to getting Tudor cloths sorted out.
Take Care Everyone
Sarah
