Oh Hello Arranm. You've popped in at the end of the year - Make sure you join in from January - the fun lasts all year then, and well done on being so organised.
Sarah - Congrats to Ds on his birthday - remember it's your special day too - enjoy your shopping trip. Good luck for new job on Monday too. It'll be nice doing three days, you'll be able to have the best of both worlds, being at home a bit and earning some money
Come on Sugarspun - after showing us all up with your present buying and wrapping, you're leaving your tree late.
Mary - Hoping the snow clears for you soon. It's been clear for five days here. Getting warmer over weekend and the cold's back so the weather men say.
I made a couple of those boxes last night, after seeing Rufus's. They turned out nice.I also started a coaster calender, fitted it all together and couldn't find the right embellishment so left it for a while. I coloured all the toppers for my Christmas cards instead. They are all sparkly and glittery. I just need to make them up now. Shouldn't take too long, so that's on my to do list for today (after the shopping). I can't do much though, Neice is off school ill. I had to take her docs yesterday (her mum and dad at work) and she's been diagnosed with asthma - poor thing. Wants to sit a cuddle all day. She's asleep at the moment, so I can come on here.
Avon comes again on Monday, and busy over weekend, so I may be AWOL for a few days. I've got to get stuck into wrapping too. Considering I'm being organised, I don't think I've ever left it so late. :eek:I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

LOL Elysia - the tree's a compromise, DH doesn't want one and I do, so he said we can have one but since it'll be a real one he doesn't want a miserable dead tree in the corner for the second half of December. But I wanted it for my parents' visit so we compromised on the middle weekend.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning everyone
I doubt I will be on much over the weekend as got in laws coming for special dinner tomorrow. MIL coming today for weekend, FIL just coming for the meal tomorrow.
Had a shock this morning, our electric meter is a key one and it has been playing up for a while now, on our 5th new key this year, this last one is only about a month old. Put some credit on it yesterday but it didnt seem to transfer it over but couldnt get it to work, then this morning it was beeping like mad, tried doing the key again buy nothing and electric went right off. Run down shop and topped up again but still couldnt get it to go on. After a lot of fiddling with the key managed to get it on again but was worried that next time we top up it wont come on at all. Just what we need this time of year so rang them up and bloke said sounds like the meter is fautly so they coming to fit a new one on Thursday, may be earlier if it fails altogether.
Was going out to get the rest of our Christmas shopping this morning but OH didnt get his bonus money he was expecting, typical when we were waiting for it. Now saying he should have it Weds but hes back on nights again from Monday till Christmas. Just going up our town instead (wow, cant wait lol) and then to MrS to get the food for tomorrow. Did have it all ready on our MrT online shop but couldnt get an early delivery tomorrow and it will come too late for the meat to start cooking.
Anyway, have a nice weekend, I'll try to pop on to see what everyone's up to, Rufus xx0 -
LOL - I know
I was teasing. I'd love a real tree, but I can't be putting up with the needles. I had a live one in a pot a couple of years ago, and even that dropped it's needles in the warmth of the house.
You have a nice weekend Rufus - it's a pity OH bonus didn't come through and spoiled your plans. I hope the meter stays OK until Thursday and that you keep warm too.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Rufus we had the same problem with our key meter. Just make sure that they dont end up owing you anything for your top ups. We couldnt put the money from the key to the meter once and the booogers tried to not credit us with anything.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Thanks scattyman, it's a brilliant idea, but I don't think their that type of people - cant see them discussing those types of things! lol
I ADORE the favour boxes - I've made a quick one out of paper and they are fabulous. So it would be good to put something in those.... I'm thinking a mini quiz so each person can be quiz master or something.... Sugarspun - I might do a variation on your suggestion! Thank you!
elysia - sandles? you're mad! hehe
mum2one - enjoy your weekend! Have a good one!
Sarah - good luck for Monday!!
Rufus - have a good weekend!
I'm still waiting for the Christmas Radio Times to come in the post!! It's out in shops, but I have a subscription. We're having all our post normally, so that's not the issue. My Mum has it on subscription too, and she hasn't had hers yet either, so at least it's not just me!
Bracelet making tonight! One of my few free evenings for a while so making the most of it! Murder Mystery tomorrow night, and doing something medieval all day Sunday.... why do I do this to myself? lol

Good Afternoon,
I got my decorations up, and all looking rather festive. I wrote all my cards out, and forgot to post them, will do that tomorrow morning.
I got most of my amazon orders........ my chocolate thermometre is brokenand it took from the 29th Nov to get her as well!
Just waiting on my delivery from Play, and one order from amazon.
Snow is still here, its thawing slowly, and the snowploughs have been on my street, so thats a good thingeven a wee on on the paths. Not sure if they have done my street yet. I passed them on the way in. I also got my hair done today......... I feel rather organised. Im going to set out all my stuff tonight and see if I can make up some hampers because I got the booze from Mr Ts today
Hope you are all well.Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
Hello all :j
Snow starting to go but its still very icy on the pavements.
Not done a lot today except wrap up grandchildrens braclets for their 18th at Christmas and made card for Grandson..............need to do Grandaughters next.
Decided not to do any more to the door curtain today -back ached too much. Must have been all the bending on the floor cutting it out yesterday:(
Still have son and his girlfriends pressies to re-wrap now I've covered little hexagonal box neighbour gave me and put necklace and bracelet inside.
Son phoned to say due to work they can't get up here till 23rd and go back 24th so will just be a quick collect and pre-christmas dinner for them. If the weather turns bad again (as forecast so they say) he said we'll have an extra christmas in the new year..................lol:)
Searching in my box of felt for something to make gingerbread man from.............tiniest bit thats the right colour............he'd be sooooooo tiny...........lol:rotfl: Not sure if dark brown would look right.
Oh well, I'll have a think about that one.
esmer - looked on your blog for tutorial about boxes (fab by the way) and couldn't find one..............;)
Hope you're all ok and keeping warm (despite what the weathemen say I still think its cold:(I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
