i have been waiting 2 weeks now for stuff that "was" posted. Not imporessed
all from amazon and play.
Oh Good Morning All!!
Now going to dig my car out the snow,
I'm still waiting for my buttons Esmer, they were posted last Weds first class. My Amazon order arrived ok on Monday, I have some more bits on order but they were only bought at the weekend and are youngest daughter's things for her friends.
Had a good trip out yesterday to MrT's in the morning. There were four things on our normal shopping list for our online shop this Friday that were on special offer that finished yesterday so we went to the local store to see if they still had them in stock expecting everything to be sold out.
First item was the Ariel liquid which was buy 1 get 2 free, had plenty left on the shelves so will do us for a few months worth of washing. Second item was a box of Black Magic cant remember the offer but think it was half price. Didnt have any in the seasonal aisle but I spotted them later on in the sweets aisle. Also the Oxo cubes for spag bol were on offer, got them and the last thing was bottles of coke. Got to till and the receipt said we had saved over a tenner just on the four items so really pleased.
Took out pennies up and put them in the machine, had £12 worth so OH has given that to me to spend on Friday as going to MrS then to get some Christmas bits. I have a voucer for £4 off a £20 spend, and have about £6 points on my nectar card. OH has about £2.50 on his so we will have about £25 to spend between us.
Went to the college last night. OH had to come as well as our paths are so slippery I wouldnt have been able to walk on them. Daughter was pleased with the interview and is now thinking of may be doing this child care course again. They told her it is the equivalent of 3 A Levels if she passes and she can go on to Uni if she wants to.
Not a lot to do today so might go and watch some films. Rufus xx0 -
Might try mr t's online now ice is reducing.Ive had kids off,no way was I sharing the road when I have 3 walking and 1 in a pram.
They will go tomorrow.Havent heard from school,so they got the message from me phoning first time.
Really need to get into the spirit of Christmas. But my mum has never been fab with it.And because she is skint, she is even worse.Ive told her to get tree up and arrange it so she has a film, chocs and a bottle of wine. And relaxes Christmas day.
She still has 3 of my siblings at home. One of them is being a brat.Id personally give him a little tickle across his face with the back of my hand.He is 19.
When I say skint.I dont mean MSE skint.I mean, cant afford to pay 3000 to update his car skint.
The confidence tutors in college can give you is great.I think they do just a good of mentoring as they do of teaching.Wish the one I want to do would come on.My craft teacher trying desperately to get a full year evening course on.Doubt it in this current climate.SWAGBUCKS Nov 17sbs redeemed; 2 x £5 Amazon

Morning all! Freezing here and still a bit icey but I must say it looks lovely in over the field with them all white and Christmassy! Heating is on 24/7! Wrapping is getting there slowly just at the moment want to settle down and watch the soaps at night especially Corrie! Dont want to be faffing but it has to be done! Going to do the Christmas food shop Friday, well what I have left to get as I have been picking up bits on weekly shop!
Piglet dont worry about strange looks with DS eating a lolly at least he is ill and has an excuse. My DS, 2 yo, LOVES ice lollipops! Think its because I craved them so badly when pregnant! He has already had 1 this morning and was chomping on 1 when in the trolley at Mr T's yesterday! I do get some strange looks but if it keeps him happy I dont care! Rather he ate them than chocolate as they are only water and fruit juice really!
Hope everyone is keeping warm! Get well soon to Master Piglet and hugs for Pips Mum! x:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!

Phew. Loads to catch up on and not much time.
I'm going to TRY not to reply to individuals as it always ends up with a huge list, but just needed to say the following...
Thanks all for your advice on DD - she still had runny poos (TMI!! lol) until Sunday but has been herself otherwise. I knew deep down she was fine, but hubby was a little concerned!
julie - hows Mollie??
Sugarspun - glad you're home safe now! Thanks for the well wishes. And what did you have to tell Santa off for?? Or was it just him being generally surley?? lol
Pips Mum - hope yesterday went well for you. Big hugs.
piglet - hope ds is feeling better! Blimey - all of it in one go eh?!
But I've ready all your posts and big christmassy hugs to everyone!!
Snow still around at home but all the roads are clear (as are our steps - well done hubby!) so we're carrying on as normal. I dodn't envy you esmer!!
Ok, I really need your help. I've changed my mind on our New Years Eve table gifts. I did pots of gold last year, and everyone liked doing the scratch cards. I was going to do New Year themes cup cakes - one per person wrapped up in cello. But I think it's a bit boring now. Only 5 of us - any thoughts about what I could do???
I also desperately need another pressie for hubby, but can't blinking think of anything....think I need to just search through the internet....
Thanks all

There was a site that had hand made boxes for the cupcakes, so you could make those for cupcakes.
What about festive box with home made fudge?
Or pots of silver, those little buckets in hobbycraft look lovely.Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
Thanks esmer, but I just think the whole cupcake idea is a bit boring - I think I'd rather have something for them to 'do'? And as I did pots of gold last year I might leave the pots of silver... (And I'm pants at fudge! lol). Sorry, thank you loads though!

We had 15 items in the post today lol. My buttons are here at last so can finish off the shirt tomorrow. Also get a cheque for £20 from one of my daily click sites so will come in handy.
Did a search online for pics of table settings and made me remember that I was given a load of cotton napkins after last Christmas. Just dug them out and they go perfectly with out table colours. There are plain red with a green edging or plain green with a red edging. I will have a look tomorrow and see if I can knock up some napkin rings out of something. Saw some nice little parcels on place settings too which would be good with those small boxes of after 8's you can get wrapped up with a box. There are 5 of us for dinner this weekend (early Christmas dinner Saturday as OH's parents going away for the hols) so might look for a cheaper option. May be make my own boxes and put some after 8's in them.
Off to look for fold your own boxes lol, Rufus xx0
