OMG mum2one! How many ideas - was that one for every day of 2011?
I have the same problem as a few others on here in that fridge and freezer are full to the brim - OH came home with his vouchers for Mr S today so we can do our big Christmas shop now, only trouble is nowhere to put anything! Had some Mr T vouchers through the post too - may spend these on myself in the sales, we have had a new Mr T open today and I also had some spend £30 get xxx points so can spend my vouchers and make a little bit back at the same time.
Haven't really done anything Christmassy today, work, spent a bit of time with the kids, and then after putting DS to bed slipped on the stairs and am now sitting with a big bruise on my arm and neckache. Didn't get any sympathy either!!!
Need to wrap and write cards this week, will probably do on Wednesday and Friday and get them in the post, the overseas ones have already gone. Just waiting for a couple more presents to arrive and will have one big wrapping session and get it all done.
Roll on 20th when I break up and can enjoy doing the baking with Christmas music blaring!

    Hi all!

Sorry for not being around - what with DD getting over her bug (she's completely fine now, thank you all!), the snow, and a few Christmassy things going on, I've just not had the time!! I need 2 extra hours a day and I'd get SO much more done!! lol

Had a scare Friday night - we were all out at a Christmassy do (DD too!) with our friends, and we were in Cardiff. It started pouring with rain. When we dropped my parents off (they live about half hour from the pub we were in and half hour from us.) we couldn't get up their hill because it was covered in new snowy slush - far too slippy! So they walked up. The closer we got to home, the whiter it got, especially on the roads!! By the time we got home - an hour and a half later!! - we were driving very slowly over think snowy roads!! But surprisingly it wasn't the snow that caused the most trouble - itwas the THICK fog. Very scary!! Thank god hubby is a careful driver! And boy did I need the loo when we got in!! hehe.

Anyway, surviving here - loads of frozen snow still around but the roads are mostly ok! Hope you're all ok - I have about 7 pages to catch up on!! (While watching Kirsty & Phil! Nice and Christmassy!) lol

I haven't had my secret santa numbers back yet.

I LOVE the Range, it's a great shop! It will definitely be lethal on your wallet, last week I went in for a £1 pack of card bags and ended up spending £30 . They've got so much nice craft stuff I can't help it :o

    Nor me!

What did you did of Kirsty and Phil then? It was ok. I liked the snowball icecreams and the pinata - I might get DD to make them with me.

It was good as it wasn't as way out as last years Homemade home - and the crafty section on the program she's doing at the moment. 'Oh I'll just pop off and get a designer vase made especially' LOL - I have one Royal Doulton one (prize) and my other vases were from Woolies. :rotfl:

    Morning everyone

We are going out shopping later, still going to do the big shop on Friday but there are a few things in MrT that the special offer finishes today so going to go and see if we can still pick them up in the store. Migth pop into town as well while out, need to post my Dad's Christmas cards for him.

Post came yesterday, OH's Toy Story box set was amongst it but no buttons yet. Think they must have a hold up where ever they have been posted. I wrapped up the dvds anyway.

OH got my tablecloth down from the loft that I made for Christmas. Its quilted and I have put some photos on my blog. I have put the placemats I also made on the table as well. We have a candle in the centre that we have used for last three years I think. Just got one of those rings like a mini wreath laid around the outside. Saw a good idea on one of the other threads yesterday, they said about putting some fairy lights on the table, so I will have a look Friday and see if I can find a small set that uses a battery in one of the cheap shops.

We might be due some more snow this afternoon, only says light shower so hoping its not going to make the paths too slippery. Outside our house is quite clear as we have a main route going down our road with buses etc, so they spray the salt and grit onto the paths and they clear quicker but some of the side roads are still quite slippery. I have to go to the college with youngest daughter this afternoon for her interview. She tells me last night that she is now thinking of staying on at school and doing A levels isntead of this childcare course. I do so think that they are far too young to be making these kinds of decisions that affect the rest of their lives. I wish they would let them have two years off 16 to 18 to go to work or something and get some experience and then come back and do their A levels or what ever when they are old enough to make a better decision. Also she has lost her art folder with a years work in it which has to be handed in by next Tuesday so is trying to redo all the work in her spare time to catch up again. Kids !!

OH NO!!! All that work for nothing. My dd's computer hard drive broke with her GSCE course work on. Got the computer fixed but she lost all her work, so we know how you feel.
