Mobile phones deals - Tesco

My local Tesco has a new mobile phone kiosk which has a deal on at the moment on PAYG mobile phones - seems to be on all networks too, and they didn't ask me to buy a top-up voucher with my purchase either.
Their phone prices matched the cheapest I'd seen for the model I was after BUT if you are buying a phone over £50 and have spent £20 instore on groceries etc you get £10 off, and spend £40 and you get £20 off. They were happy to apply the discount based on a £60 spend I'd made 8 days earlier, in a different branch, and didn't even want to see the receipt! They even accepted a Sainsbury's money-off voucher (£3 off a £20 spend).
So I spent £56.97 on a Nokia X3 on O2, which is currently for sale at £84.99 plus £10 top-up in the O2 shop.
