    Afternoon all.

Redruby (((HUGS))) sorry to hear about your Dad's illness.

Aussie I hope poor little Benny's ear is better soon.

Taplady  No sex for six weeks?? Hel's teeth, that'd kill me! Seriously, though, I hope all is well.

Lots of horrid white stuff in Concrete Cow Country today. I know some of you like it, but I'm afraid I don't. I always get a blinding headache when it snows, also I worry about Mr LW driving to and from w*rk, as his office is over 30 miles away.

OS consists of using up bits'n'pieces today; Mr LW is going to do us omelette for dins, and we'll chuck in tail ends of stuff in the fridge. There's a wee bit of carrot'n'orange cake left, which we can eat up for pud.

I also need to do a general tidy-round; it seems I turn my back for two minutes, and the place looks like a tornado hit it (well Mr LW's desk does, anyway )

Oh, and I did a machine-load of washing overnight, and it's working ok. No more leak.:T

I'll have some baking to do over the weekend, ready for our Solstice celebration on Monday. Mr LW's got Monday off, and I've told him we're going to be up, dressed and outside to watch the sunrise. I think he's still in shock!:D

Right, better get off my bum and flick a duster round, if nothing else.:o

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.

    Afternoon all

Very cold but no snow forecast for us today, was lovely and sunny earlier but it's a bit dull now

DS1,DIL DGD's are'nt coming up tomorrow they are snowed in, we are disapointed but would rather they stayed down there than risk getting stuck in the car with the girls, better safe than sorry. They live 3 hours away in Sussex not too far from Brighton.

On a good note they will have 2 Christmas's as we have all the Birmingham family card's, pressies and money here so the girls will have a wonderful time when they do come, probably a few day's after Christmas. I will just have to tell them Father Christmas got mixed up and left them all here
Don't want their illusions shattered just yet ;):D

Went out early to Morries to get the £25 voucher, then had brekkie there and did the shopping next, got a bottle of 3 Barrels Brandy and some Buds along with soda water and dry ginger.....that voucher certainly came in useful :T

I have done ALL the ironing for us and MIL thank goodness, it's not my favourite chore
had a Chicken Tikka torpedo roll for Lunch and a mince pie
    Dinner sausage, mash and beans

Then a night in front of the TV with my knitting, I have some little Christmas stockings and a scarf to finish off.

Have'nt read through yet will go do that next,

Hope all the poorlys are feeling a bit better today
Lots of gentle (((HUGS))) for all those feeling the loss of a loved one this Christmas. Including the husband and family of my oldest friend Dotty who died recently, she was the driving force for them all, midnight mass will be hard for them this year.

I don't think the bank are going to keep refunding charges to me if it carries on happening :( It looks really bad :( Plus I have hand delivered bank statements for other people that come through my door (and mobile phone bills, and birthday cards) but noone seems to repatriate my mail for me :(

Why not set up a collection service on your mail? So you collect it from the sorting office rather than experiencing the non-delivering you've had recently?

:rotfl: Similar at times here too! It has got worse as the kids get older (finding the time that is;)) We seem to have LESS privacy now than we did when they were tinies. Oh well ..................... one day!

Taplady - glad it all went ok. Six weeks?! I can do better than that (try months):rotfl:

Lowesy - sorry to hear you are getting the metal taste. Hopefully cravings come soon! :jSorry about your OH xx

Went to the loo and now have forgotten what others i wanted to comment on grrrr!

Redruby - so sorry honey. xxx big hugs

Sending love to Annie . Hi OH, nice to see you "get the daily". How sweet :D

    Haribo - miss your face

Thrifty how is the Baileys going down ?:D

What have i to report? My dinner went well last night - ribs, roasties, mash root veg and cabbage and gravy. Paverlover I thought it was pretty good for a first attempt but Mother said it should have been crunchy or something

Got a really lovely christmas card from my Mum. She wrote a letter in it and said how proud she was of me and how much I have had to deal with and how thoughtful and kind i am by doing x y z, and it was very lovely to read that. :o

Got rid of the drum kit in my living room,so have a job clearing and moving stuff about tomorrow !:j

Also got a phone call from a charity job i applied for - with feedback. It was a really nice call and the woman was so helpful. I am going to go see her in January and she said she will help me try to get a job . The call really brightened my day - I didn't do anything wrong after all.:o So i will call her in Jan.

Hoping to get going at the crochet again - if anyone is in Belfast and wants to teach me do feel free! :j:rotfl:

Organised brother to come down on xmas eve to help me prepare so less pressure. Also a friend ive not seen in a while is coming for drinks that day too. One of my other friends has nowhere to have his dinner - i offered him to come here, but i think he doesnt want to intrude. Hes a lovely big fella and does me a lot of favours, so it would be nice if he did come over. Oops, must check if that's ok with mother........:rotfl:

I have loads more to say, but I can't remember. :D

Hi to all. Let's get festive!

Edit- sorry for the distinct lack of OS! Making more orange slices this weekend, wheaten bread, and de cluttering hopefully. Planning to eat from the freezer instead of hoarding little portions of everything.:D

A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
