..... I might buy my sister a charity gift instead - although she would go mental if I did....
Well if she's got herself an iPhone, she doesn't need anything else!!.....a screaming fit at Royal Mail on Tuesday. I have had six misdelivered letters, one doorstepped parcel, one correctly addressed recorded parcel delivered to another address because I wasn't in (!?!) and a recorded letter shoved straight through the door in the last two weeks alone.
I'm also missing my Novemeber credit card statement, and the last two months bank statements and a letter from the exam board (these are the things i know about) - which I only noticed when a got a late payment charge. Barclays were great though and refunded it when I asked, but even so - that's really annoying - and the second one I've had in six months because I haven't had the statements delivered. I am not a happy bunny.
The missing bank & c/c statements are more of a worry.... identity fraud is apparently so easy from those things. We had a postie who decided he would sign for a letter & shove it through one day quite recently - the mistake was he'd done it before & we'd remembered but let it ride. This time he got reported.0 -
redruby so sorry to hear about your dad, thats terrible I hope you get lots of support to help you all through x
Lowesy lol at being excited about morning sickness- I was lucky I didnt really suffer but I did go off tea and coffee and couldnt bear the smell of raw meat
sorry to hear your DH's news
celyn you certainly shouldnt put up with that sort of service although when we tried to ring royal mail to complain, the automated line just kept disconnecting :mad:
Taplady good luck hope thats the end of it for you x
NPM 11lb :eek::eek: omg!
smokybabe loving the pics x
well I have wrapped every single present its taken me 3 1/2 hours . they are now hidden away .
3rd load of washing in
lunch to have and then must get down to make the scones0 -
When I rang Royal mail they said that someone would call me back. When I phoned again two days later about the mail for the next street down which I'd had to deliver on my way to work they said someone had called me and left a message on my answerphone. Which is odd as I don't have one
It doesn't seem to matter how often I phone, they just say - sorry dear - and don't do anything about it.It drives me crazy. With the recorded parcel that was signed for down the road, they didn't even leave a card to say where it was - it was only by chance that I recognised the guy's name on the elctronic signed for strip and could go and ask him.
I don't think the bank are going to keep refunding charges to me if it carries on happeningIt looks really bad
Plus I have hand delivered bank statements for other people that come through my door (and mobile phone bills, and birthday cards) but noone seems to repatriate my mail for me
I am seriously considering sponsoring a chicken for my sister for Christmas - but I don't think I can cope with the stress(the small evil laugh I would get inside would be swiftly cancellled out by the massive strop she would throw). *sigh* I don't object to her buying an iphone at all, I just object to her making my parents feel pants.
I haven't made any effort with Christmas this year, I feel like I'm going through the motions in a zombie-like trance and it's just another task on my endless to-do list. I think to be honest, OH's impending court date for the divorce on the 4th is the root of my stress. He's in Germany at the moment and has been going through some more of his estranged wife's junk that has been in his parents loft for ten years (I really don't understand why people keep so much c*** anyway, but his parents have this down to a fine art and she was no better - I mean - bridal magazines in three languages??! come on people!??). I'm a ruthless cow when it comes to stuff like that, but he's much softer than me so was quite upset when he phoned last night. Most of it is just papers, notes and magazines and rubbish. *sigh* I'm not the sentimental sortI would have just packed the whole lot into a shipping crate (regardless of what it was) and shipped it back surface post with no cover letter. *sigh*
Sorry for being such a stroppy cow this morningI am going to find cake in a minute - well, after I've gone tried to talk some sense into my friend who works in my old lab *sigh* (which won't work, but I'll listen and feed her cake anyway
)

:wave: welcome to OS - it's nice in hereDropped hubby off for work this morning as he rides a motorbike and its sure no waether for that!!
:eek: Oh no - bikes and ice really don't mix *has strange scar shaped like a duck because of the snow - or more correcly because of the rock buried in the snow*(in my defense, it wasn't snowing when I left the house that day!) I can't walk in snow, let alone drive in it
I hate that driving in the ice with each leg sort of stuck out like some sort of leather-clad tightrope walker :rotfl: (not that it would actually help with a slip
)
We have had a poor excuse for snow here - just a dusting - which has gone now. Still enough to foil my attempts for running for the bus this morning though (in an amusing and limb flailing sort of way)I did catch the bus, but I think it's only because the driver felt sorry for me
