As so often happens we seem to have missed most of the snow, although the local radio syas it is snowing in the city centre.

My DS2 is due to collect his children today to have a Christmas lunch with their half sister......hope he gets there and back ok........

We are just going to bundle up and go to the library, OH has 8 books waiting to be collected. I will have a quick look round and see if I can pick up anything else.

I also want to go onto the market, there is a lady on there has been selling folk art stuff and she had some really nice dolls, I want to get one....Uh ohhhh the sky is rapidly darkening down to a very deep grey......snow coming?????

    Will be back later..................

Felt a bit queer this morning, woke up with an odd taste in my mouth and was a shade on the dizzy side. It went for a bit when I brushed my teeth though and was gone by the time I got into work. Can only assume this is the start of the sickness! Who'd have thought I'd be excited about feeling sick? :rotfl:

The excitement won't last...see in a couple of weeks when brushing your teeth has you heaving down the loo we'll remind you about that excitement :rotfl: seriously tho just remember sick=hormones=good!

With the boys I couldn't even walk past a butchers my aversion to raw meat was so bad and I lived on curry and chips (had to be from the chippy) for about 4 months...with my daughter I couldn't even touch anything that was remotely greasy and had a craving for boiled eggs and beetroot and steak - very odd!

    Hi everyone,

Haven't posted in forever, you've prolly all forgotten who I am, lol.

Things went a bit manic when I started working and was finishing my dissertation. Graduated with my MSc now though so it was worth it. Just been offered a new job so excited for that, although I think I wont be starting until Jan with Christmas and all that.

Almost sorted for Christmas, bought most of the stuff I need, handed out (and posted) all of my cards, just need to wrap stuff and pick up a couple of small things. Not been working for a couple of months so it's a thrifty bunch of pressies but I think everyone will be happy!

Not much OS going on today really so not sure why I decided to post, I think it's the snow making me nostalgic, lol. Got a dusting of it here, not too bad though. Heading out to meet a couple of friends for coffee soon, looking forward to it. Also going to the new Imax at the Metro Centre tonight with the OH. First time seeing a film in 3D so hoping it's gonna be good.

Sending *huggles* to anyone who needs/wants them and hoping you all have a good Christmas.

    Good morning guys,

The reindeer have decided that santa needs some more excersise......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    funny-1.jpg

Dry, very cold and no snow!!! hope we get some too for the kiddies.

DS1 seems a little better today allthough I have been up most of the night with him, at 2am his temp was 103.2 and I was getting a little worried but thankfully plenty of Calpol and a cool bath brought it down again. Today he is a degree under normal - and he says he feels a 5 out of 10 instead of 2 like last night. Needless to say it's another day off school.

Nothing planned for today, I was going to go off to Netto but it's nothing we desperately need. A good clean through is in order and do some more ironing. I have never been on top of it like this  Lunch will be an omlette and tea a beef stew that is defrosting.

Redruby - hugs to you and yours hun. xxx

Lowesy - belated congratulations to you both. :T:T:T xxx

    N9eave - Enjoy your hols, I'm not jealous - really!! :p xx

Gentle hugs to all else in need and keep warm and safe out there.

    Smoky. xxx

Redruby - sorry to hear about your dad xx

Lowesy - I remember I craved corned beef and peas. I also knew I was pregnant for the third time when kids dad found me spooning marmite out of the jar like there was no tomorrow and said I think you are pregnant as I HATE marmite normally.

We have a light dusting of snow. Kids all at home cos of various illness:mad: DD just gone to docs as her lip is infected from when she fell flat on her face - hopefully that will teach her a lesson not to get plastered:eek:

Im not good at the moment. Trying to get my worries into perspective but its completely overtaken me this week. Will be back to OS soon.

    Hugs,
    Mollyxx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Someone has made a snowman at the end of our road with a big willie:D
Sounds like my kind of snowman:D

So I've just bought a bottle of Baileys- quite unlike me, I don't think I've tasted it since 1986. I know it is whiskey and cream but what else is in it? There are no ingredients listed which seems strange but I suppose drinks have different regulations.

What's the nicest way to partake -neat, mixed or over ice?

Total lack of any snow today in cheshire :( Had lots of excited texts, calls and piccys from the Kent area this morning which only adds to my need to build a snowman :( )
Might put a wash on and let it blow in the warm cheshire breeze then head to my gym which has a lovely outdoor pool I can bask by;):D

Well, dh didn't get home till the very early hours as the motorway was closed due to an accident. COnsquently we're both tired this morning.

I had to go into work. I knew that the lesson was cancelled as class tutor said so. I pointed out that if he cancelled lessons I didn't get paid. Shame I forgot to tell you then was his response. Went in, signed in, went to the class, but he'd forgotten to tell the teacher taking the class this morning! So we had a chat and I came home via Mr M.

As luck would have it, there were big bags of YS satsumas/easypeel, so I'm going to squeeze them to do the orange jelly recipe that was on Jamie Oliver last night. WOuldn't use full price ones! Mega bags for 49p. Also a bag of onions cheap and a few tatty bananas.

Lots to do today, clearing up, cleaning, cooking for a houseful tomorrow lunchtime.

    best get cracking!

You are a star Nelski :kisses3: Over ice appeals to me ;) I've just been looking at wikipedia's Baileys page and you're right it sounds like a very healthy drink -antioxidants from the cocoa nibs and calcium from the cream -hey it is bursting with nutrients :j

Freezing here and snowy but DS`s school still open.
Going to tidy through today ready for him breaking up from school, and set out the bowls of chocolates and sweets etc.
Dont need to cook today as made huge shepherds pie yesterday and half is left for later.
Thanks for all your kind comments about DS having no friends....am in a better frame of mind today:D
Glad you all like the shoes;), it has taken me ages to find a pair I like....am going for 1930s glamour. If anyone wants to see the dress it is on Sarah Arnett website, click on bridal and some thumbnails come up, it is second from the right on the top row.....pic can be enlarged and you can see front and back. She does really lovely art deco type dresses.
Am waiting for a parcel today ...a new hairdryer with diffuser seems as I am wearing my hair in its natural state again ie long ringlets.
Only one more present to be delivered.....DS`s " Toilets of the world calendar":rotfl::T:cool:
Redruby sorry to hear about your dad, be gentle with yourself and give yourself a chance to take it in, there is a lot of info about and hopefully he will get the help he needs.
Lowesy as others have said the sickness is a good sign although not pleasant....I had it permenantly when preg with DS and could keep nothing down....how he got to be 11lb  is beyond me:confused:
