  • handyman,
    how do i pm you?
  • Hi, click on my name and then select ''send private message'' thanks
  • Hi Handyman-we too paid 1% then found this site as you'll see from previous messages. Have had sleepless nites and hours on phone to many agencies including oft etc. Have cancelled agreement via e mail and hard copy . Company have agreed verbally and pleasantly but have not got written confirmation despite many requests. No refund either - just stalling excuses such as problems processing card - there was no problem processing money out!Phones all engaged at 10pm--was told today when given a curtesy call by the company
that switch was as busy as them!!
So wish i could turn back clock-feel so stupid but they so convincing.only hope now unless a miracle happens is if credit card can chase refund but will have to wait and see.
Never ceases to amaze me how ruthless folk can be - heavily pregnant with 6 other little people already .A certain staff member delighted in sharing that he had just become a dad.I wonder how he would feel if his partner was going through this stress and the effect on the baby never mind providing the basics for the rest of the kids. Gutted - will have to tell them no holidays this year-was planning to buy a caravan but thanks to this crowd and my gullability that dream is on hold!
Ok-ranting now-willtry again to contact them 2moro -anyone have a happy ending?!!
  • sceptical seller,
Really sorry to hear you have fallen in to this trap along with myself and what seems like hundreds of others. I too had paid my 1% but am now gutted as it looks as if i am going to be homeless thanks to these bunsh of w******! i had a house for sale that i had initially rented out ( my new partner and myself bought a house together - and so my house was on the market and couldn't sell so rented) my tennants moved out and so this seemed like a perfect solution. since the beggining of all of this i have been of work and i am not able to work for the forseeable future. so it looks as if also the house that we will loose not only my house but the house that we actually live in at the moment - these people obviously dont care about anyone else or about how this is effectingpeople-well all i can say is that 'what goes around comes around' and i really do hope that this is true so that these people can have a taste of their own medicine!

    Hi Mollypops
Ask them for references (there arent any).
keep hold of your money i know its frustrating trying to sell at the moment but nobody has completed yet and we find today all the phone lines are engaged!!
Hi binnybin, I have been following your messages, found it useful but Trading Standards are really not up to speed on this at all. They rang this morning and I had to tell them how to Google it and they had no record of any complaints. Refering me on to another Dept now that deals with Estate Agents, lets see how that goes.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. They really don’t warrant their existence.

Further to my earlier points, my bank on their fraud advice page, warns:
Be wary of firms insisting you pay in cash. Any legitimate business should accept payment by a credit or debit card, a cheque or bank transfer. And always ask for a full receipt – if you don't, you have no record of the transaction.
The inference clearly being that having card processing facilities means legitimacy. That’s the area you need to target.

    It’s time to act.

    Hi Cazzy
i found out today that my complaint to trading standards (which i sent to the nearest branch to syh4free registered address) had been forwarded to the one nearest to me!!! you would have thought there was a central investigation team wouldn't you so they didnt go around duplicating the effort
  • not_loaded,

I paid by credit card and had a reciept - still dont think this company are ligit!
  • Would be more than willing to get together to see if we can get these sods done - Have reported this company to Trading Standards, BBC, Police, Companies House and Property Ombudsman - If you can think of any others let me know as I would like to see the F..kers done for it

Hi binnybin, now if you and I can work that out, what kind of people are running Trading Standards? We rely on these people to look after our interests and they p*** about, refering us to different depts, local areas etc and all the while companies like this continue to fleece us. They did tell me though that since I paid with a debit card, I won't get any money back unless they go under. Since I don't believe they have done anything legit, what is the chance of that? I think they will just disappear, along with all our hard earned cash.
