maybe all of us who have fallen into the hands of this company and have paid our 1% should join together as a group and meet up and see if we can keep legal costs down to try and do something about all of this?0

Surprise surprise! Just tried to phone them again and the phone is now constantly engaged!0

Hi Heyjude33, sorry to hear of your situation there seem to be quite a few people who have now been taken in by these !!!!!!!s, i can't understand why OFT havent moved on them because numerous complaints have been lodged with them, i would suggest you canvas everybody you can OFT, Watchdog the Sun etc.
Did you get your 10% of the 1% after 14 days back? it looks like they're using this to keep people interested.0 -
hi binnybin
OFT are apparently looking into this. no i havnt had my 1% back! tried calling them after reading that someone had had their 1% back but the phone line is constantly engaged!0 -
Peter Stevens valuations manager is answering his mobile 07780 875405 might be worth annoying him0

I too have been contacted by this company but as yet I have not sent any money.... has anyone's sale actually gone through?
I sent the document through to my solictor who said the docs look legit but advised me not to proceed... not from a legit point of view as the docs were v professional and he could see no loopholes but from a personal view.
Still undecided as I really wanted this to be legit as I think we all do when we have a fantastic offer and a bit of hope
SYH4Free are they really a scam???0 -
Hi Mollypops
Ask them for references (there arent any).
keep hold of your money i know its frustrating trying to sell at the moment but nobody has completed yet and we find today all the phone lines are engaged!!0 -
Thanks binnybin
After reading through this thread again it all does seems to be a scam. It is beyond belief how anyone can do this to innocent and vulnerable people. I was over the moon with the offer ( £3k over the Estate agents valuation) and finally thought I was having a bit of good luck after a long period of ill health.
Even my solicitor could find nothing wrong with the contract so it seems like a lot of thought has gone into the creation of the 'scam'.
I wonder if anyone knows if Peter Stevens the 'valuer' is in fact in on the scam or does he actually work freelance for SYH4FREE knowing what they are up to??? Its only now i realise he didnt even go into the garden and was here under 10 minutes taking v few notes as he said it was an investor that would be buying my house and they didnt need too much detail.
I feel like a comlete fool!!!!!!!!0 -
Ive just tried to ring all numbers and there all engaged, wonder if theyve decided theyve scammed enough cash and did a runner, contacted my bank to explain that I may have been scammed and they said they cant do anything till the completion date has passed, this being 28 April, gonna ring that peter stevens and the solicitor apparently acting on my buyers behalf, will get back on later with further info.0

Mollypops i know how you feel and so do a lot of other people on this forum, they are professional con people who thrive on peoples emotions and hopes, i suspect that they target people who have had houses on the market for a long time.0
