Just a thought: presumably by now SYH4Free are aware of this thread (it does rank highly in Google) and there is nothing stopping them registering here to post supposed "success stories"...

Yes, you would think they would come on here and attempt to defend themselves, but there has been no sign of them yet.

Yes to the name, didnt ask or get the address and yes the payment was a cheque which cleared,
I got scammed by this lot too. I am now trying to get my money back which I paid in December although getting the 10% back would be a start. How on earth did you manage that? I just keep getting passed from one department to another and still no sign of any money.

Just been in touch with SYH4Free AGAIN. Told me I can't have money back until I send them a copy of my passport for money laundering laws. I really don't want to do that. Any advice Handyman1970? Did you send a copy?

    Hi all,

I wanted to give you an update since my last post on the 2nd February 2010, I thought it prudent due to the nature of what has been said in the recent postings.

The morning after I posted my information to this forum, a man contacted me; he said that he was investigating my claims posted in the forum under the name of “A Helping Hand”. I had to ask him who he was because he didn’t give the information freely. He said that he was David Shaw from “syh4f” and was their complaints manager. He told me that he had read my comments and was investigating. He said that he would phone me back by three in the afternoon with further information, but instead by midday I got a call from Mustafapha Yilmaz, he said he was calling because of my slanderous comments made in the posting. I asked him if he had read it and if he had he would have seen that at no time did I slander his company, also at one point I actually praise them, I have just reported the facts that has happened to me whilst dealing with them. He then asked if I had sent back and signed their documents to them. I reminded him that not only have I sent back the signed documents but my money was sitting in their bank account and that to date I have absolutely nothing to show for this. I asked why he didn’t return calls. Who was the buyer of my house? Why my solicitor had not been contacted?

Not answering any of my questions he just replied that my documents are in front of him and that he didn’t want to deal with me anymore. He told me that I would be refunded by the end of the day.
So far nothing has been paid into my account.

Guys think about this, these people know what my wife and I have been through in the last few years, I told them upfront what had happened to us. If there was any decency in them whatsoever the very least they could have done was to call up and apologise for the way in which we were treated. Instead they phone me with lame excuses and only return my phone calls when I posted to this forum.

    Remember “syh4f” is reading this!

A helping hand: I'm gobsmacked. The brazen callousness of it beggars belief. I'm just an onlooker but I really, really hope the law catches up with this scum sooner rather than later.

Maninthestreet: I think this is such an obvious case of scam/fraud that they're unlikely to come on here openly and try to defend what is completely indefensible (no matter how they try to dress it up). What I'm expecting instead are new posters pretending to have actually sold their house through SYH4Free. Maybe even posing as worried/doubtful to start with, so other victims on here will relate to them and then coming back to tell us all that their sale has now gone through, yeah  Colour me cynical but I don't believe this crowd have ever had the intention of selling a single house.

Not involved with this scam at but been reading about it and I'm sorry to hear so many have been taken in by these criminals.

I echo what Cissi says though - be very careful keep posting on here. Would it not be more prudent to pm each other (ONLY the people you trust on this thread) and get email addresses and reply through emails. This is a public forum and everything can be read by anyone - you don't even have to register!

    Good luck to you all
  • I think Cissi is absolutely correct in that SYH4F employees can easily post false information pretending to be victims and say that they received refunds or sold their house.

I know a co-worker who dealt with SYH4F. She found them advertised in The Sun but, luckily, she saw this website and called Fair Trading Standards before losing her 1% to them. I feel bad for all the victims of this sham company - there must be hundreds, if not thousands of people!

Their contracts are legal documents and victims of this company can sue them in court for damages and compensation.

Does anyone know if "buyers" are being scammed too?

Agreed. Helping Hand - really sorry to read about your experiences with these scam merchants - have you thought about issuing in the small claims court?

Easy to post an apparent success story - far too many people are posting of negative experiences so I know what I believe. Nothing convinces me that this is anything other than a scam. I am not a victim but I could have been

As a number have said this is a full public forum - any doubts PM

If Mustafapha Yilmaz works in the 'Legal Department' of SYH4FREE, you would have thought he would know that written defamation is Libel, not Slander (which is spoken defamation).

I dont believe buyers exist and if they did they would have to make themselves known to sellers solicitors for land registry, property deeds etc.
If somebody does come forward and say they sold now after all this time they should be quite willing to divulge location of property and other details that can be checked.
I agree to a certain extent about private messaging and emailing but it is beacause of this forum that people are learning about these criminals and also we can take great delight in slandering them. Oops sorry libelling them
