Surely the alarm bells went off in your head when the buyer made an offer 8K more than your asking price, especially since they have to pay SYH4FREE another 2K for the privilege of buying it???
Of course they did, however their valuation was very close to one done by my bank, the asking price though had been reduced due to a wish to sell quickly. I also took the view that for SYH4FREE, it was in their interests (fee wise) to get the highest price - it would be their buyer who would be amiss for not researching properly.
Their sales patter and seemingly high level of professionalism worked on me - and I don't normally consider myself a mug. As I learnt from my Dad and should have followed "if it's too good to be true - it normally is!" I'm just glad I found this forum before sending the cheque.0 -
There are no legit sales because this is a scam and as a previous poster mentioned it is the 2010 version of the car scam only a lot more money involved
Why would someone pay 2% commission for a property which they have not seen when they can go through agent for nothing. At least the buy to let investors who rang me were direct in offering me 75% of asking price! My property is in first time buyer territory so I could not see why they would be offering over the odds and paying 2% as well
A question to all posters on here who have been contacted by this company - how did they find your phone number in order to to contact you? In my case my house is advertised on house ladder, tepilo etc so they found my mobile and started to bombard me using a withheld number0 -
It seems the more we mention SYH4FREE the higher this discussion goes in the Google rankings, and the more people read it and get warned off. So...

Hi 100mel
My house was on 2 internet sites with my mobile number and it had been up for quite a while. No estate agent would give anyone your telephone number so this is where they must get your contact details.
Funny how every house they look at they get a buyer!! Most estate agents would love to be in that position.0 -
Yes mine too - doesn't matter where in the country you happen to be either - they have a buyer willing to pay over the odds for just your property . Yes they must be trawling the internet sites to pick up every phone number they can
I've had a few investors on the phone so at first I thought it was someone acting on their behalf until reading this thread
Hope Google picks up SYH4free AND scam0 -

Hi all, im in process of being scammed by this lot after having paid my 1%, the buyers on to his 3rd lot of solicitors but ive been given a date for completion which will probably never arrive, but ive just had a thought, I contacted this company after seeing there ad many times in THE SUN newspaper, thought a big organisation like that may have did a bit research to see the quality and integrity of its advertisers, or I may be wrong?0
