  • Could you not get the buyer to contact their local sorting office and ask if the envelope is there?

I asked them to do this but they said they wouldn't, this is why I'm suspicious. I phoned the nearest post office to their address but they just gave me the number for the general enquiries line at RM.

i think you should brush up on royal mail policies before laying in to everyone trying to advise you for next time.

and that helpful to say is it??I think the OP knows:confused:

Exactly as I said in my previous post - no advice but sarcy comment.......geez, this is a site for advice
Life is a rollercoaster.....ya just gotta ride it:whistle:
  • a site for advice when things go wrong, not when somebody is stupid enough to cause this themselves, say on here they made a mistake and that they know the answer really, and just try to get enough people to agree that they should be conning the buyer, which we wont. the seller is wrong wrong wrong here, and if they have any dignity should refund the buyer and learn their lesson

if you phone the enquires line they will give you the phone number for the sorting office that serves the area the tickets were sent too. They will be able to tell you if the tickets are there.

The OP was the one who started with the sarcy comment in post #3.

The OP has cocked up (and we all do that) what does the OP want us to do? The tickets should have been posted SD, they are uninsured by another means. The buyer has not received them and unless they get them later today they are worthless and the OP will have to give a refund.

Anything else is just flannel. This is a money saving site, not the "let's all have a group cuddle site and it will all get better".

You either have to get a thick skin or a sense of humour.

    Another one.

I know it's a pain but if you hold on long enough you will get through to speak to someone. I was once told if you press the # and * key together when you first get given the options you will be put through to an real person...I've never tried it though so can't say if it works or not.

Unless you stated that they would arrive on a certain date I dont see how anyone can suggest you are not fulfilling your obligations as a seller. If the buyer had wanted these to be delivered in some other manner then surely they should have asked.

On a more general note, the OP asked for ways to resolve the situation in hand not what people feel they perhaps should have done instead. Can never understand why some feel it necessary to point out what maybe would have been a better scenario - pointless under the current circumstances.
    :smileyhea
  • everyone HAS said ways to resolve it, REFUND!!! simple as that!
