All you can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other until, you'll suddenly realise that it is all way behind you and you're travelling forward.
You seem to be doing amazingly well, and he's truly not worth your tears Lilac.
My ex son-in-law did just this to my DD - he kept on lying right up to the end, which to my mind adds even more to the terrible thing they've done. She too, got a phone call, not from the girl he was involved with, but her sister . To be honest, when all had settled (this happened 18 months ago) I think we were all grateful to her, or DD may never have found out what a !!!!!! he is.
DD felt that her judgement was at fault, but someone like her (and your) ex has something missing in them IMO and hopefully, you only run into one, once in a lifetime.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi Lilac,
I have been following your thread and I am so glad to have an update from you as I had been wondering how you were doing. Your oh must be a total doughnut to let someone like you go. Miss Piggy has certainly found her frog.
I know its probably too soon for you to think about this, but I really hope that you go on to meet a man who really loves and cares for you as you deserve.
Take care and I will keep checking on your progress. xx0 -
Then on New years Eve i got a phone call from Miss Piggy herself with a whole new wave of revelations that showed me that all the new honesty was in fact a pile of lies and that he was still making things up and lying to me, even about little things.
Are you 100% sure that what she is telling you is true?
Happy New Year
(but next year will be better...) yes, it WILL be.
Lilac x
I'm sorry to hear your news, but also not sorry to hear that you've got rid of such a loser IYKWIM.
Life does get better, it just takes a while.... I don't have any amazing insights, just know that men like that rarely change & you (& your children) deserve better.
Best wishes for 2010 & as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin
