My story is similar to everyone elses - so I wont bore you with the details! Needless to say the CC company are looking into a refund for goods that have never arrived (and that the company now deny all knowledge about - despite taking my money!).
Anyway the point to my post is that some of you may wish to contact the owner - Jo (Joseph). As you know - his staff rarely answer the main line and give out no information if they do. His phone number is 01702 333568. One of his staff "accidentally" gave it to me! Perhaps if we all call in synch it might inconvenience HIM a little...0 -
Before purchasing from this Company I read some poor reviews but as they were by far the cheapest I decided to tackle them about it before placing an order. Jo rang me within 10 minutes of me sending an email to the Company, tried to allay my fears and suggested that if I still had concerns he would allow me to pay a deposit on my Credit Card and the balance on satisfactory delivery of the items. I agreed to this approach, ordered the items, received confirmation of my order through the post in a timely manner and took delivery about a week later. All the correct goods arrived safely. I was so pleased (and relieved) that I subsequently ordered more items and have just taken safe receipt of the correct items again, which just goes to prove that they do get it right sometimes.0

Hi Everyone who has posted re J A Bathrooms aka J A's Bathrooms. I just wanted to let you know that we ordered a shower enclosure (at a very good price) and only when we got into problems with not being called back by Joe and no delivery date being supplied despite emails and telephone calls ....... did I think to check for feedback ! My heart sank - I honestly thought we had very little chance of getting the goods we had paid for. So we got in the car and drove down to the shop in Westcliffe / Southend and dug Joe out of his 'office'. Cutting a long story short we waited (and waited and waited) until they got the shower enclosure and tray from the 'warehouse'. It was too big to go in our car - so we had to agree to let them deliver it and Joe promised we would have it the next day. And guess what - it arrived !!!! Well - all I can say is ......... if you live near enough get down there and talk to the guy face to face - get stuck in with speeding the process up and you will probably get your goods. I know it cost us £50 in petrol but that seemed better than losing the £450 I had spent on the unit. Good Luck to everyone who's still waiting for their goods. Overall it's a 'thumbs down' for J A Bathrooms.0

Have any of you contacted Trading Standards in Southend on Sea. You may find it worth your while.
Credit card company will help you where you have paid by credit card, even though it takes time.0 -

Firstly a confession that I stupidly ordered something from JA Bathrooms without looking up the company first! If you are considering buying from them take heed of all the negative comments.
I ordered a bath from the company (Carron Quantum Duo) on 17th Feb and was told that I'd receive it Monday or Tuesday of the following week.
Needless to say I heard nothing from them Monday even though I phoned to check delivery. Phoned again Tuesday and was told that it would be with me Thursday or Friday with no apology.
Wednesday, I get a surprise call from a delivery driver to say he was on route and arrived about an hour later with the WRONG bath. Fortunately I noticed and just rejected it straight away. Rang them and got a reply saying that they'd made a mistake and that wasn't my bath as mine wasn't due in till Thursday. I would in fact be receiving it Friday.
Thursday they ring me again to say that the bath wouldn't be there Friday but absolutely definitely be there Saturday.
I've rung them this morning (Saturday) to be told, after the normal 2 hour wait, that it's now coming straight from the supplier and it will be coming from them about Tuesday!!
Needless to say I asked for a refund as I'd taken the week off work to do the bathroom nd can't take off any more time twiddling my thumbs waiting for a delivery from this shambolic operation. Was told he'd need to talk to the manager about the refund and they'd call back.
No return call yet
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Monday I'm getting onto trading standards, credit card company and anyone else I can possibly find to tell. Utterly useless and should not be allowed to trade.0 -
Like everyone else unlucky enough to deal with this company, I ordered without - for once - checking the reviews, and paid the price! My experience is identical to everyone else's story so I won't go into detail. They take the money and then you can't contact them. All you get is lies and failed delivery dates. If you are lucky, you get a delivery in the end. I got half my order after dozens of useless phone calls and emails. The only occasions I managed to get someone to answer the phone was when I called from a phone number that I hadn't used before. I am still awaiting a refund for the other half of my order but it is now in the hands of my credit card company.
I cannot stress too strongly to anyone considering ordering from this company, DON'T GO NEAR THEM!0
