I, too, have applied (on Wednedsay) and today (Friday) my documents have come in the post.
Had to apply over the phone, as on the internet yu needed 3 years' previous addresses and i lived in Germany 2002-04 (where incidentally the biggest interest anybody can be charged on a debt, incl CC is about 18%, plus all shops close at 4pm on Sat - so no chances and less incentives to spend!:).
Anyway - at RSB I spoke to a guy who firstly asked me where I was living, told me that the offer is only open exclusively to the residents of Scotland. Then it turned out that I could actually open one if I wanted to.... Grr
The guy kept reading from the script, yawning (yes!) from time to time.... I am not very impressed with that but am still going to go for it and ditch after I've got my 100 quid. Moving salary rather than direct debits.
We will see if I get accepted and if get the incentive.

I got a letter from RBS this morning telling me to send a recent bank statement in. Funny, I already did that when I sent the original forms in. They say they haven't received one but I definetly put one in.
Seems like they've lost it, or at least I hope that's what happened to it. I certainly wouldn't choose this bank if they weren't giving me free money.0 -
I applied for the R21 account but chose a local branch as opposed to a Scottish one - will this mean I've lost the chance of the £100?! Also, had the forms sent through to sign and send back with bank statements etc...been waiting about 2 weeks now and had nothing back?! How do I even know if they received my (personal) bank statements!! Is there a costomer services number or new accounts department? help please......
ThanksEveryone LOVES a freebie!!0 -
I applied a couple of weeks ago and have just recieved my proof of income back along with a letter saying that my account has been successfully opened. I will now see what happens to my wages (thats all I am letting them shift over) and wait for the free cash!!!0

I opened my account a month ago and I've just received my £100 - yippee!
Many thanks to the OP
DDs and salary seems to have transferred over OK - not sure how long I'll stay though as the interest rate's rubbish...0 -

Good news! Did your salary first go in on the 1st July? My did but nothing yet.
Once I get the £100 my salary is moving on to citibank (application in post) for my iPod...0 -
Well I had a call just now from the Deputy Mgr of the Inverness High Street branch. Says offer only open to Scottish residents, and they are 'calling a selection of applicants' to advise them.
I will of course be writing to them to contest this, as their Ts and Cs state that 'This off is only available in Scotland. To benefit from the cash incentive, you will need to have your new current account based at a branch in Scotland'.
But does anyone have any advice on how to handle it? Thanks.0 -

How long after your salary going in did it take for you to get paid your bonus?
My account is open, but I'm not paid until Friday of next week. I'm just wondering how long I will have to avoid answering calls from Perth for

It took 32 days from salary going in to the £100 "Switcher Welcome" payment to arrive in the account, so there's now whats left of 2 months salary in there earning next to no interest - must do something about that!0
