A minor detail, but do i have to apply before 9th of july, or does the switch actually have to take place before then?
I was about to apply today, but not sure if i'll bother if i've probably left it to late to actually switch.
On their site it says over and over "switch bfore 9/7/06", not apply before then.
Anyone know?Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery0 -

It's not that I'd tell them mis-truths, it was more a case the main current account that I use at the mo has all my direct debits etc but no wages since to control my spending a bit better they were going into a separate account.
And as I'll be handing my notice in for my temporary job soon, I feel it wouldn't be worth moving that account especially since I don't want to keep it.
The RBS seems like a really good offer but I didnt know whether wages were a requirement?
Cause if they are then it's going to be a hassle for me since despite RBS moving my wages over, I'd still have to move all my direct debits over by myself.0 -
I wasn't told I needed to close my old account (but then I never mentioned the £100 bonus either!) I didn't ask for a switching pack on line, but I rang customer services and I explained to the lady I wanted to transfer my salary but leave my current current (!) account open as it is a jointly held account. She just said to wait until the account with them was open and then just give my wages department the new account details so they can arrange to pay my salary in.
According to their terms that should be enough, shouldn't it??0 -
I phoned my branch yeesterday to chase my £100 amd was told my account didn't qualify (it does). I was told he's check and ring back but nothing yet...
I'm actually in Edinburgh next week so I think I'll chase it then.
BTW my salary is switched and some DDs have already gone.0 -
Did they give a reason why?0

This is the link to the RBS "find out what accounts are on offer" - http://www.rbsoffers.com/switch/accounts/index.html and the interest paying current account is definately listed as one of the options.
My account is open, I just need to tell my employer to move my salary (scary)!0
