RBS £100 Current Account Bonus – Ends 9th July

I've just rung them and they wouldn't budge. Said that I didn't go through the account switching process so could not have the £100. My wages have been going in directly from my work (bacs payment) - but I didn't bother transfering my D/Ds as I was under the impression it was either/or not both wages and D/Ds
Looks like I made a mistake setting it up...
Does anyone have a link to the terms and conditions please?0 -
Just to say that me and my oh both got our "switcher bonus" £100 unprompted. One Edinburgh branch, one Glasgow branch (we both live in England). Only tranferred s/os (to other savings accounts/credit cards) and balance from current account. Really expected to have to fight for this one more, though oh's was right on the verge of the 28 days.0

After being rejected by the branch, I thought I'd email customer services just to see what responce... 24 hours after my email the money arrived! This was what I got in reply of my email:
"Thank you for your enquiry. We have been having some trouble with customers who only switch their salary to us, as the switcher service refuses to do this for them. As we get our list of £100 recievers from the switcher centre, these customers are often missed off. I presume this is why your name did not appear on our list. I have now rectified this and credited your account with the £100. Enjoy spending! Watch out for "switcher welcome" on your statement. I hope you will enjoy banking with us."
I didn't actually use the switching process at all, just told my work the new account details. Anyway, I got my £100 so worth the hassle!0 -
Finally received my 100 pounds although only after I phoned up the bank to chase it up. They credited my account the same day. The lady I spoke to said that they had had a number of similar calls regarding unpaid 'welcome' payments. By the way, I live in England.
Thanks for the tip Martin.0
