Friend bought diamondesque rings set in camp 1 just before xmas. They were for her daughter who doesn't wear them every day. She showed me them today and they are all tarnished and peeling. Took them home to return as she wants replacements. Tried inputing but won't allow me to put it through as replacement when I put in item no it says not found and doesn't even show me that invoice to search for it. If I want a refund it shows me invoice and lets me ask for credit. How can that be thought there was 90 day refund or replace only allowing me to refund..I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0

denise, think there is sometimes a glitch in the system. Just email Avon through the website, and explain what has happened.
They will do replacement for you, it will show on your account as reason code 29, don't worry, this is their code for a replacement.
Just return as normal via the courier and the print out from screen as normal or if you use the returns book, and they will send you the replacement via royal mail.0 -
I'm a "stuffer" rather than a caller, meaning I just drop to everyone (except those who have a no cold callers sticker or have said no thanks) and lose any books for those people who don't leave them out and don't answer the door.

I'd try delivering a brochure to the houses that have "no cold caller stickers" on too - some of my best customers live in houses which have these stickers, it is more aimed at people trying to get them change their windows/electric company/new kitchen etc, rather than avon. You might find they have older people living in, who want to deter salesmen/women, but who will be grateful to see an avon brochure, as it will save them a trip to the shops and gives them some company when you deliver the order.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Yeah it's not an awful lot is it... but it all helps.
How much time would you say you spend doing AVon stuff?
Do you get a discount on stuff for yourself?!
The amount of time spent varies greatly mostly as it depends on how much extra you do - I put a newsletter in with every brochure so there is the time typing it up, printing it out & cutting it, and then packaging all the brochures together. It's best not to think of avon in terms of an hourly wage, especially not when you first start, as everything will take you so much longer - you don't know who wants a brochure to start with, and until you have sorted/packaged your delivery a few times it will take you a while to recognise what is what, but after your first few campaigns it gets easier. I work shifts, and so does my OH, which means while he's on nights if I'm in by myself, it means I can get the books prepped while watching the tele so it fits in nicely for me.
When recanvassing, I tend leave brochure for only 2 or 3 days, then recollect, which being as we have 3 weeks to get orders, gives you plenty of time to cover a large territory with only a few brochures. When I first started I recanvassing everyone (apart from those who said no thanks) for 5 campaigns. Now I know who wants to order - I give everyone who has ever ordered a brochure each campaign, and then recanvass periodically thorough the year, just doing about 30 houses at a time, so that is isn't too much extra work, but I am picking up new customers.
As others have said, you will get a discount on your own order, and sometimes with creative ordering, you can make extra profit, or even get yourself some bits for free. When I started avon I didn't expect to make much, but wanted to get my own toiletries cheaper to save some money that way. As it happens, we're doing pretty well, usually making at least £100 a campaign.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I do need to recanvass but with order day on tuesday and the forecast looking quite snowy down here for the rest of the week, its unlikely I will get much done.
Hello, I'm an Avon rep too, I joined in C18 2009 so this is my 6th campaign.
I've had orders of around £300 or more every campaign (down to £230 in C2) but for some reason my C5 order is down to about £180. Not complaining (much) as it's still comfortably over HOV but a bit disheartened as I don't know why and I'm worried in case this is the start of the whole thing trailing off.
Maybe I'm not new and exciting any more and my customers have all ordered everything they will need for a while?
Or maybe there just wasn't so much of interest in this brochure.:j0 -

Still haven't figured out how to work one yet so no chance of doing two. Was going to send mine back but doing a party next month and could be a bit of an ice breaker. (Did think of giving it away to the first person, who can show me how to do it - either that or I have a lot of practicing to do before then! :rotfl:)
Hello!
I got one of the gyroscopic strength balls and it took me ages to figure out how to use it. This link is to a note explaining how:

Hope that helps!:j0 -
Thanks for sharing, melvis! :T The creme to powder foundation is another product I shall add to my list of recommendations. And it's great to know that Ivory is Avon's palest shade - it's really difficult to make that judgement on the catalogue picture alone.
Hello, I ordered the cream to powder foundation in ivory for myself and it's way too dark! I was so disappointed as l loved the texture and feel of it, I just can't find a shade pale enough for me!
I had been using the Magix tinted face perfector compact in fair but they have stopped doing those and I thought the above would be a good alternative. Don't know what to use now!:j0 -

I am also very pale and I find the Anew Foundation in ivory ideal, have tried Ivory in the other foundations but they've always been too dark. It's an expensive foundation but I stock up when it's offer (£7.50 or 2 for £15 in the brochure then 25% off commission or if it's in HT it's about £5.50 a bottle) xxSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Hi all, i have a quick question.
In my second campaign now & doing ok again. Im aiming to get into presidents club at bronze level & am a bit confused about the Associate (sp) membership.
I know that if i acheve sales of £6500 in my first 18 campains (would be camp 4 for me) i am an associate member but what happens if i manage to reach £6500 by camp 18 this year (would only be 14 camps). Would i become a bronze member iyswim?
Yes, Associate is a back-up for new Reps during their first year. If you qualify by C18, you are a full member with all the extra benefits.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

a) Do such black marks affect people's general credit rating?
b) Do - or should - debts actually get written off if someone dies?
Lozza answered this pretty perfectly but still...
a) Yes
