Cool thank you sophisoph... So you just re-use and deliver the new books to people you know you'll get a return from? And I guess you can get those books out every week to someone else?

    Am I correct re: commission?

no not just the people who will order the people who are interested in avon. Ie i have territory, i know who is interested so ill drop a book there. even now im getting people order for the first time in 9 months so perseverance is key (sorry can never spell that word).

I have quite a big teritory so will use current camp brochures on half and back camp books on half, then next camp do the same again and so on...

as my territory is still half building site there are always new people moving in so ill use old books (any left after my camp is finished) with a cover note welcoming them and introducing my self to gain potential customers in the future and use the previous camp books to pass on to family and friends and pretty much anyone i can get my hands on.

also its a good idea to go back to people who 'arent interested' every 4 camps or so and asking them again. as we say in avon no doesnt mean NEVER. x

Hello, I ordered the cream to powder foundation in ivory for myself and it's way too dark! I was so disappointed as l loved the texture and feel of it, I just can't find a shade pale enough for me!
I had been using the Magix tinted face perfector compact in fair but they have stopped doing those and I thought the above would be a good alternative. Don't know what to use now!

Rah - The "Fair" shade of the magix tinted is in the campaign 6 sales brochure at £5 each. So you could stock up?

Hi all, just a quick question - I have 2 small items to return to Avon on Friday. Can I use a small bag/box or do I have to use the boxes my items come in?

    Thanks

Hello, I'm an Avon rep too, I joined in C18 2009 so this is my 6th campaign.
I've had orders of around £300 or more every campaign (down to £230 in C2) but for some reason my C5 order is down to about £180. Not complaining (much) as it's still comfortably over HOV but a bit disheartened as I don't know why and I'm worried in case this is the start of the whole thing trailing off.
Maybe I'm not new and exciting any more and my customers have all ordered everything they will need for a while?
Or maybe there just wasn't so much of interest in this brochure.
    :(

Hi. I'm struggling with this one too. The brochure seems to be mainly aimed at people buying Mother's Day presents. Not good when most of my customers are 60 plus! But brochure 6 looks better and I like Hello Tomorrow 7. I've never done a moneymaker before but fancy having a go at the suncare one.
For any reps that don't know, Avon kids suncream is fantastic! My kids both have sensitive / ecxema prone skin and it actually moisturises and improves their skin rather than bringing them out in a rash like the other 20 odd makes I bought and tried first!

    Hi naughty_10382

no, you can return Avon items in anything. As long as you put your returns form inisde the bag/box, and make sure you put your barcode on the front to be scanned.

I'd try delivering a brochure to the houses that have "no cold caller stickers" on too - some of my best customers live in houses which have these stickers, it is more aimed at people trying to get them change their windows/electric company/new kitchen etc, rather than avon. You might find they have older people living in, who want to deter salesmen/women, but who will be grateful to see an avon brochure, as it will save them a trip to the shops and gives them some company when you deliver the order.

Yes I know. When I get my A into G I'll call round them all and ask them. Really struggling at the moment with the dark nights, I just want to be out there for the minimum amount of time possible!!

Well I have had two customers say to me that they weren't very impressed with the offers in C5 and neither was I .......... and yet its been my best campaign yet for sales! Sold two of the pink morgan watches as well which I wasn't expecting, and a couple of the Anew bonuses from C4 on back order.

    Hi all,

I've just started as a rep and a Sales Leader - still Trainee right now, until people stop quitting lol! I'm loving it, finally found something I seem to be good at, although I'm not as confident as I thought when talking to people. Like the way it fits through the kids, and people are really impressed wit the products. This sampaign everyone's got a free sample, so hopefully that should pay off.

My big thing has been my 'Beauty Box' - I ordered a bunch of stuff that people ideally like more than a tiny sachet to try - the rejuvenate night creams, some body lotions, nail peeling stuff, and put it all in a box, then people get to try it for a week. Got some decent sized orders off it, and it's a great talking point.

Any other SL's got any tips for recruiting? Upliner & me have been canvassing, cards through doors and just starting cards in shops, but reposnse is pretty appalling.

Sorry for the rambling post lol, all excited over new campaign starting. Now if only this cold would disappear so I can get to my territory...
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

    Hi OberonSH

love the idea of your Beauty Box, don't think it would work where I am. Probably would never get them back!

can you give us a bit more info about it though, it sounds fab and others might want to use the idea.

Have you tried dropping expired books with cards through doors? Are you on Flissys? You can buy leads but they start at £6 and go down in price as no one buys them. I got a few reps through Flissys until I couldn't afford to buy them anymore.

I put cards in shops but that isn't working for me at the moment.

However, I went "swooping" with my ASM 2 weeks ago, and got 2 reps out of it.

Swooping is when you stand in a shopping centre, handing out freebies, if you are with your ASM, they can get some, sometimes. Expired books, current books, if you can spare them, with cards saying you are looking for reps, with your details. The samples was good as it would make people stop and then you can ask them if they buy Avon, where from, do they want to be a rep, etc?

One of the ladies I only signed up last week, already has nearly a £100 worth of orders and it is due in today!
