  • Success! I just called again, using the 01324 452382 number and got the offer no problems at all!

I explained that I needed a new line put in, and told them that this had been taken out by the builders. The friendly woman advised that the full reconnection charge would be £122 at which point I explained I had the offer code which she knew all about and put it straight through no hassle!

  • Free connection is 18 month contract with all the strings that come with it (10 calls a month with BT charged or not) N1SEXYTING vbmenu_register("postmenu_16665065", true); I would check you have been sold correct.

The £29.99p deal was the last few months offer. The subsequent free offer is currently available between 24th November 2008 and 23rd December 2008, where BT are offering residential customers free connection (saving £124.99) - subject to them taking a 18 month line rental contract.

    See this post for details.
  • I used phone number 01324 452382 quoted FCCNOV and got the deal straight away without being diverted or fobbed off. Phoned at 3.30pm on a weekday, which could be an important factor to anyone looking to do this in the future.

The phone operative said the cost of installation would appear on the bill, but would then have two separate credits added later to cover the cost. I wonder if this means you actually pay the money first? Suppose I should've asked at the time

what's this talk of the 18 month agreement needing to be made with this promotion?
I only wish to use my line for the basic package of unlimited weekend calls at £11 a month, which doesn't have any tie in.

If I was to quote this code would I be able to pay only £11 a month or do I need to go on a higher package?

EDIT: I've just had a quick view of the terms and conditions and I've noticed that you have to make 10 chargeable or chargeable inclusive calls a month.

What happens if you don't do this?
Why does it say chargeable inclusive calls?
Can you make 10 calls on a weekend so that no extra charge is made?

2nd EDIT: I've just phoned them and apparantly I don't need the promotion as there is already a line available from the previous tennants.
I tried to set it up online at first and it told me I had to pay the £125 one off payment.

Might be helpful for someone, so best to ring instead.
