Underwire in my Bra!!!

     If you wash underwired bras in a net wash bag from day one I don't think you will have this problem, it also stops them from damaging your washer, I put all articles that are likly to damage or lose parts in the washer in a bag, that way if the wires do come out, you could save a lot of money by stopping them getting into the working parts of the washer, not foolproof but you stand a better chance.
The bags are available from most supermarkets for as little as 49p I get mine from Morrisons they do a baby version for 49p and a bigger mesh for
79p no problems! Good luck.0 -
I also agree that the wandering wire problem is probably the result of washing them in the machine. A gentle wash only, in a net bag and drip dry. Or wash by hand and drip dryWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

I don't think it has much to do with size. I'm a fairly modest C-cup and it happens to me. I find it tends to take longer before it happens if I wash them on the cold cycle (white bras seem to stay whiter this way too)"People who "do things" exceed my endurance,

I don't think it has anything to do with size or wash methods I just think it's the nature of the design. I've had it happen and NOT happen with cheap and expensive.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Snap - although it did take 2 years for my R&P bra, so that's not really too bad.The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. As a 34F then I can totally sympathise with you all!
Firstly finding a braa in a size that fits, at a price that you don't cry over and then find the wire working it's way out in weeks or months... *sigh*
I've found M&S measuring to be rubbish! They measured me and tried to get my rather ample boosom in a DD cup once... I wasn't amused! Why did they try this? Well because I'm apparently such an odd size that they didn't have anything like a 34F so they gave me a 38DD... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight... Me somehow don't think they quite understood the point in measuring to fit...
Saying that I am sure they aren't all that bad, but now I'll try 4 bra's on rather than ask for measuring help to be honest...
As for the underwire popping through then depending on the age and state of the bra it either becomes wireless and an emergency bra or I wrap some spare material round the end to stop it jabbing me and wearing through my repair before I force it back and sew the hole upDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Yeah M&S are pants at measuring - for years they had me in a 42C, and Rigby & Peller took one look and correctly made me a 38G.The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. BTW using the link to uplifted Lingerie above it agrees with my size being a 34F which is comfortingDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Thanks to everyone for the replies, it looks as if its just one more of lifes little annoyances.
I do always use the net bag in the machine (to lazy to wash by hand) after breaking a washing machine about 10yrs ago, with such a wire.

For all you larger ladies up top, last week in Poundland, Lewisham London, they were selling a well known brand make bra, boxed and priced at £45.......................for 99p.
Sorry not Poundland, everything for 99p shop. Just my luck that they didn't have my size, really nice ones as well. Had them in white, black and pink.............................loads of them!
Cup sizes were all larger than a C.
I'm going back today but the things in these shops sell fast. It might be worth looking in your own local if you have one.
They were so worth the money.
