When the wire came out of my Wonderbra, i used OH's glue gun to put a squirt of glue over the hole :rotfl: I think bcos the glue's 'rubbery' it bends, so the wire can't work its way back out!!0

I had this problem too. I was measured years ago and advised on a specific bra which was great for me, it was Warners French collection under wired bra, but several years ago the manufactuers stopped making it. It was avaiable through littlewoods for a time, but they too have now stopped selling it. I had bought several when I realised what was going to happen but I am now coming to the end of them, the wores have come out of quite a few of them, I am wearing them without the wires...........I have tried without success to find a comfortable replacement which gives me the same amount of support.......I find that in most shops that have fitters they are unable to suggest a suitable substitue which is very frustrating. I am quite heavy busted but have a small back, I only take a 36 but F cup.......the heavyweight doreen bra does absolutly nothing for me!!!!!!!

Tootles - try the Panache superbra range, Fantasie or Freja (Fantasies's youth range) bras. They come in large cup sizes but with small back sizes. It's a problem I'm familiar with because I'm a 30G. You can get them in most large department stores and independent lingerie shops and from Bravissimo (which has some physical stores as well as an internet site) as well as from a lot of different e-tailers. They have some really nice designs that give good support without being as 50's looking as the Triumph Doreen range, which is, btw, great as a sports bra for larger breated women. Unfortunatley they don't make my back size.0

being the opposite end of the size spectrum (tiny tiny AA)..it happens to me to with underwires. I find a combination of glue/sewing up does the trick.
As for expensive/cheap bras...I only buy cheap (can't justify the expense of expensive on such tiny bras lol) so cant comment.
As for handwashing/wash bags etc...I really can't be bothered with all that! I'd rather have to do a bit of sewing once every couple of months rather than handwashing every washOne thing...that sets pulses racing...that gets hearts pounding...for which there is no substitute...only YOU can provide...blood.

Girlies as a J cup I think I speak with authority in saying it's not bigger bras that cause the underwire to work out!
I do think it's badly fitting bras, normally to big a band (rib size).
Totally agree M&S crap for fitting, but a few others are the same, they will tell you a size they have in stock, so if your actually a 34J they try to squeeze you into something else to get the sale.
would heartily recommend bravisimo, but get them to bring you bras in your size and try them on in the changing room, (it seems to depend what assistant you get wether they offer this or not), because you might be one size in one bra, and another in another, depending on the cut etc.
Amplebossom.com is also great - service 2nd to none and fab for returns, no fuss.
Also prev post sugested panache, great prices for bigger sizes and lots of colour choice & discounts out there, £15 per bra is possible (a bargain for curvies!)Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.

Talking of bra fitting does anyone else get the problem of a gap in the front. I find with many styles that the front of the bra sits away from my ribcage. Most fitters don't seem to have any idea why. I have had this problem since a teen. If I go up a size around the back the bra is too loose and has no support. If I go down a size it's too tight and uncomfortable. Changing cup size is not an option as if I go up you could get your lunch in there!!!
