  • Hi again all,

quick evening update before we head out for a well-deserved drink!

Finished the first section today, so 25% done! Woo! Also managed to compare an investment-linked annuity to a TVR Tuscan. A first for scottish journalism I think.

    Good after noon everyone.

    It's raining again.eeyore-small.gif

Had dinner at my Mum's last night, so spent all of yesterday cooking. Made some gorgeous swedish rye bread and some herb and onion rolls. I also cooked some of my snails.
I made traditional snails with the garlic/herb butter in the shell and I also did snails with aubergine, mushroom and brandy. Delicious. They went down a treat as a starter. The main course which my mum provided was whole dressed crab.MMMMMMMMM!!! haven't had any in ages and it was fab.
All in all a great evening and very cheap, HM bread, free cycle snails and free crabs.

I've recently found a local forum called neeps, it's a local forum for local people lolsmilie.gif
We talk alot about recycling, local events, plants, animals etc, but what is exciting about it is that they're all from Aberdeenshire and there is a meet arranged and we're talking about a craft circle. So maybe friends on the horizon.groupwave.gif

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend.

    Hi All,

Head is much much better thanks Rose ~ don't get migraines often but that was a blinder :( I have also discovered that I'm allergic to something in sparkling wine/Champagne ~ everytime I have some I am really ill afterwards  oh well, just stick to the vodka instead :D

Been to the first Food and Drink festival in Wirral ~ it was fun and we came back with lots of nice things for the freezer. We also bought raspberries to make some raspberry vodka and Werthers Originals to make toffee vodka ~ should be perfect for Xmas (yes, I know its way too early to be thinking about Xmas :o)

Hope everyones ok and enjoying the last long bank holiday weekend for months and months ;)

    Philippa xx

poor you. I can imagine the frustration. You're doing really well. Very impressed with you word counts.

I'm trying to keep my pecker re:my non-kitchen. What it has made me realise, is that it's almost impossible to live without a sink. It's amazing just how much you use it.

Philippa - Raspberry vodka sounds absolutely fab. Think I might make some myself.

Messy - Sound like you've been having a great time.ugogirl.gif

Thanks wanubs it was soooooo funny.:rotfl: :rotfl: It was the reverse steer thing, I would stop (your not allowed to stop when trialing it scores against you.) think I need to go left so would steer right but as soon as I started to move brain went to automatic and started steering the right way if you get what i mean!!!!

We also did whats called a punch challenge!!! You have a numbered card attached to trialler then you drive round finding the numbered punches to punch the card.

The guys that set it up were really devious though and put them in some really difficult to get to places. People were getting stuck and had to be winched out!! They also put some red herrings in!! I ended up running around down steep muddy banks looking for them before we took trialler down to them.
