Payless, ring them and tell them you don't want to accept this change. See what they say.0

I have just spoken to Orange - told them I want to keep my bill as is ..... don't want to go online and don't want to pay £1.47 per month. I pointed out that the reason given that customers wanted itemised billing and they were giving this service was rubbish - they are trying to save / make money.
They eventually agreed to give me paper bills (itemised though, so costing them more) but will put a monthly creidt adjustment on my account to offset this cost, so effectively costing me nothing. A result!
I may go online with my bills in the near future anyway, but on principle will not be bullied into it by Orange.
Try it, be persistent, ask for a supervisor and they are likely to sort it for you.

Phoned up to complain about this charge on my last bill (2 phones so 2 charges - do you believe their cheek!). Anyway don't know if it was just my luck or not but the CS rep I spoke to had no idea about this and looked at my previous bills and noted that it was new. He arranged a monthly credit to cancel it out.
Noticed that on one hadset it was charged as itemised billing but on the other it was 'data charge' at exactly the same amount and list below the genuine data charge.
I honestly don't know how companies can think they can get away without itemised bills ... I mean do they think they are MPs or something.:rotfl:0 -
Orange included a letter with my September mobile phone account. Under the heading "Itemised bills are on their way", it says "More and more customers have asked us to provide full details in their bills (I didn't), so we're replacing the summary bill with an itemised one for everyone. You'll now be able to see exactly how you've used your phone - down to the time, length and cost of each call." Now the rip-off ... "As it costs more to provide you with itemised paper bills, these will cost you £1.47 per month." What a cheek!
Ok, so they go on to say that alternatively I can sign up to "Your Account" on their website and view my bills for free. Fine I thought, I've had my Orange phone for years and registered it for "Your Account" a long time ago ... I've just never used the facility. So I try to log on with my phone number and password, only to find it no longer works because when I created my account, you were required to leave a space between the two components of the phone number, but they've since changed it to no space required.
So now I have to set up a new "Your Account" by re-registering my phone and I was half way through the process when I decided to check the Terms & Conditions of using this on-line service. Just as well I did ... buried away in the T&Cs is a clause that says "by registering my phone I am agreeing to a 2 year contract from the date of registration" or words to that effect. What a scam!
So now I'm left with three options ... 1. Pay their cheeky £1.47 a month to continue receiving monthly paper accounts ... 2. Register for the online bill viewing and get locked into a 2 year contract ... 3. Cancel my account (I am currently well out of the original contract) and change to Pay As You Go.
Option 3 is certainly looking like the obvious choice. Why do these companies have to get so greedy, particularly with someone who has been a loyal customer for over 10 years?

Can you point out in the T&C where you are agreeing to a new phone contract, i never saw it?Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

Dave.
I doubt they can enforce the T&Cs they ask you to agree to, as they present 29 different sets of T&Cs and expect you to know which ones apply to you. Looking at them, I have had my Orange account for 10 years on their OVP Virgin plan and do not have a clue which T&Cs I am agreeing to. I doubt they would be enforcable in any court due to confusion.
My suspicions are that you are only agreeing to the Orange.net T&Cs and nothing else, but it is not clear.0 -

I'd have to go all through the re-registration rigmarole again to find it I'm afraid, and I'm not about to take that risk again just in case I do accidentally agree to it.
