Orange Itemised Billing - £1.50 (merged threads)

Just called Orange there now. They agreed to refund the charge for itemised billing for this month and cancel it from now on. Which I am happy enough with. I think it was about all that could be expected. I thought asking them to continue providing it for free might have been pushing it a bit. But I wonder has anyone else pushed them to do this.0

Orange are either fraudantly debiting charges for item bill from subscribers' who've opted out or are totally incompetent. My partner has also received the first charge for itemised bill this month, despite sending TWO texts to 2018 to opt out in July. Orange should be named and shamed.0

I received an invoice the other day from Orange for itemised billing for a contract that was cancelled 4 months ago ! It will be intresting to see if the incompetence continues next month.0

they sent a memo round retail saying that some people had been incorrectly charged for this and it would be credited back to the orange account automatically so the customers dont need to do anythingYes Your Dukeiness0 -

Orange haven't just refunded my last month's £1.50 (£1.28 + VAT) for the itemised billing I'd said I didn't want - they also refunded another 3 months' worth on top of it. It's marked on the bill as "Good Will" but that's £9 back.

Well it's nearly 9 months on and i've never had any correspondance from Orange re. the so called £1.50 itemised billing charge let alone been charged.
Scare mongery methinks. :rolleyes:0 -

It depends which tariff you are on, as mentioned earlier in the thread.

Definitely not.
I managed to use their attempt to introduce this charge to cancel all my orange contracts which were in force at the time using the get-out clause should they ever alter the contract to my detriment above the RPI - as did others at the time.0 -
I received a confusing letter from Orange saying if I didn't opt out of itemised paper bills, I'd be charged £1.50 a month
But I was only receiving summaries by post and full bills online. What's more they've already charged one lot of £1.50 even though I've never had an itemised paper bill0
