I was charged £1.50 for my first itemised bill. Bit bizarre as I'd only had the phone a week at the time. So I signed up under their new T&Cs, didn't realise itemised were chargable 'til I got my first [didn't know I'd be charged VAT on my monthly bill, either!]
Rang CS and got it changed to a [free] statement right after that!
Just taken out a new contract so I'll give them a ring. Thanks0 -

While you're at it you might want to check if they've automatically added a £4-per-month Orange World [internet] thingy.
They did on mine [to be fair, the nice [and good looking] lady in the CPWH pointed it out, saying it's £4 a month, with first 2 months free, but you might want to phone up and cancel it ASAP].0 -
i sent a txt to opt out of the itemised bill and i got a reply back saying thankyou for choosing to opt out and since then ive had an itemised bill and no sign of the £1.50 payment on thereNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Much the same as me, texted to opt out but was still getting the itemised calls listed for free.....until today that is. Received my Orange bill today and they have slapped a £1.50 charge on this month.I will call later to protest!0 -

Lo and behold (and possibly even verily), I got charged despite sending in my text to stop this back in June. When I just rang to query it the guy sounded as if this was something very unusual. I asked how this happened and apparently we "few" lucky souls who've been getting itemised billing for the past few months have been very lucky to be getting it for free. Which totally didn't answer the question as to why I'd been charged, which suggests they know exactly what's going on and have instructed their monkeys to avoid the question.
It may only be £1.28 + VAT to each of us but since they are recredting it to the next bill, that's a month of interest of thousands of £1.28s to Orange. Aren't they lucky indeed...!
Another nail in the coffin of my 8 year contract with Orange - roll on April...0 -
ive checked my latest statement and theres nothing on there, ill keep an eye out for it and maybe cancel my contracty next yearNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

I've just received my bill for December today and it is the first one to appear with the charge for itemised billing. Really quite annoyed. I've been with Orange for 6 years and this has always been provided free. It seems wrong that they can just start charging you for something that has always been provided free. I don't remember seeing any kind of notification that they were going to start charging for this and I certainly didn't agree to let them charge me. I am going to call and ask them to refund this months charges and cancel it from now on. They really do have a cheek. :mad:0
