I posted my parcel by special delivery on Easter Saturday. The money was in my account around noon on Tuesday (bear in mind that Mon was a bank holiday).

They paid almost exactly what they quoted, so I am very happy! Just wish I had more scraps of gold lying around that I could sell!!

Thanks to Hatton Garden Metals and to this website and all who contributed to this forum.

So if you are reading this and thinking 'should I/shouldn't I?' - my advice is to go for it and happy selling!

Did internet trawl like most other people.

Posted approx 70g gold special delivery yesterday :T

Got an email saying one item wasn't gold and total weighed 68.4g

Money in my bank account 1/2 an hour ago

Over £800 for some old stuff that hadn't seen the light of day for many years. Very pleased.

Less than 24 hours start to finish.

I have used them twice in the last couple of months, both times got what I was quoted (in one case slightly more as price had risen). On both occasions I posted it by special delivery and my money was in my account by lunchtime the next day. Absolutely first class service :T

After searching the internet and reading comments on website, I sent 100g of gold by Special Delivery off to HGM on Tuesday morning. By Wednesday lunchtime I had an email from them confirming weight and amount and money was already sitting in my bank account. I even got slightly more than they had quoted on their website.
I was a bit wary about selling my gold, but I can't fault the service and would certainly recommend them.
If anyone considering selling their gold then give HGM a try..you won't be disappointed.

Like a previous writer I've never posted on this site before but felt I had to given the great service I've just had from Hatton Garden metals. I've never sold gold before but after reading all the good feedback thought i'd give it a try. I weighed my gold on my kitchen scales, completed the easy online form on Hatton Garden Metals website and printed it out. I sent a number of gold necklaces and bracelets I no longer wore, and a few broken rings. I posted it all off yesterday at 3.30pm (special delivery) and by 10.30am today the money was in my account!!! I couldn't believe it. I got £537 back and all for stuff that had been lying around at the back of a drawer for years!!!! The amount I got was a lot more than I was expecting but the price of gold had gone up since I input my details yesterday. So if you're thinking of selling your old jewellery then I for one wouldn't hesitate to use this company again, and I'll certainly be telling my friends. hope this puts anyone's mind at rest

Hatton Garden Metals:
From the telephone conversation with Zoe, through the simple online registration and on to the guys at the counter, the process of selling some sovereigns could not have been easier, more pleasant or more transparent.
Efficiency and good customer service wrapped up in one - how unusual these days. :T

Yes, if you sign up just to big up a company and never come near here again just like every other newbie poster. That is classic spamming behaviour, whether it is spam or not, and will be seen as such. I would hope a reputable company would not encourage such behaviour and damage its own reputation but apparently they can't see that.

How much did it promise you: £290
How much did it deliver: £279
How efficient was the service: Very Efficient
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason: I got the weight wrong, my naff scales. I knew the weight was slightly wrong
Anything else other people should know: I posted the parcel at 12:35 17/4/12 and the money was in my bank by 11am 18/4/12 less than 23hrs!!
Oh by the way I don't work for Hatton Garden Metals as some people are putting, I found them on here and used them, I would recommend them to any one who wants to get a good quick cash payout for unwanted gold.
