I had investigated selling my gold cufflinks locally and was disappointed with what was offered, the best was only £450. Iwas wary of selling on line, but the recommendation of Money Expert gave me confidence. The process on the Hatton Gardens Metal site was easy to follow and the price offered was £620. I was pleasantly suprised to actually receive slightly more when I got the cheque.0

I sent a 34.2gm 15ct gold bracelet to HGM last Thursday afternoon and received £707 in my bank account via the FPS on Friday afternoon. This sort of super efficient and high quality service just cannot be beaten and the icing on the cake was that I was paid £172 more than I was offered by a local jeweller!0

I had some old gold at home and was reccommended Tesco Gold Exchange by a friend. At the last minute I checked on MSE and found HGM which estimated at least £140 more than Tesco.
When I received the e-mail confirmation of my total figure it was infact £150 more than the nearest competitor Tesco...
Many thanks MSE
Great value and so easy to arrange. See general details below:-
When did you use it March 2012
What did you send it 9ct, 14ct & 22ct
How much did it promise you £970
How much did it deliver £988
How efficient was the service Very efficient
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason N/A
Anything else other people should know Postage was £5 but is worth doing to ensure safety of your gold.0 -
Had a few quotes from the high street, £520 at the most and was worried about posting. Looked on MSE and thought why not I trust Martin!! Glad I did as after posting gold to Hatton Garden Metals,on Monday morning I received £813 in my bank account the next afternoon, such a good service. This was a little over the estimate from HGM too. I am going to recommend to all my family and friends who have old gold just sitting in a box somewhere. :T0

Having trawled the "we buy gold" shops and jewellers on the high street, I thought I'd try online and read lots of reviews before plumping for Hatton Garden Metals. I wasn't disappointed! The only downside was having to pay £5.45 to send my necklace by Special Delivery (as they don't send a post-paid envelope), but even so it was worth it. My necklace was bought in the Middle East so, although it was stamped 22ct it wasn't hallmarked, they could only offer a price based on 20ct, but this was still more than best price I'd been quoted locally. The money was in my account within half an hour of me agreeing the price! :T
I've recommended HGM to my friends - and would've happily done so even without the promise of Argos/Homebase vouchers if and when some of them use the service!0
