When did you use it ... Sent Friday morning 24th Feb - received confirmation price email Monday 27th
What did you send it ..... 20g (ish) gold, 20g (ish) silver
How much did it promise you .... £255
How much did it deliver .... £261
How efficient was the service .... Very efficient service and easy to use
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason....N/A
Anything else other people should know .... When I was sending it from my local post office, I was told the local jewellers were often sending packages there.
Was very sceptical about receiving so much money from them as I only sent a child's broken ring, broken necklace, two broken bracelets and a chain and bracelet which I'd had for 10 years and never worn due to it's 'funny' colour - never looked like gold to me, although it was hallmarked.
I sent gold and silver and weighed it on my kitchen scales roughly making it about 20g each, quite impressed with my scales as they appear to be quite accurate (need to look at my baking skills then...).
Thanks mse and previous posters for comments.0 -

Following the positive reviews posted here I decided to send in my gold on Monday 27th Feb. Used the recommended special delivery service and followed the clear instructions from their website and off went my items.
Was feeling a little apprehensive on sending as the total value offered was £2,250.( I paid £8.65 for the parcel to be insured for the maximum amount of £2,500)
It was a mixture of 9,14,18c gold necklaces, 1 gold full sovereign coin and 1 ounce 24c gold ingot and 1/2 ounce 24c gold ingot. Those 2 ingots were offered at £1616.87 weighing 47g.The total amount I was paid was £2276.81 into my bank account the following day 28th Feb.
I was delighted with the ease and speed of the process and would highly recommend Hatton Garden Metals.0 -
When did you use it: Thursday 29th February 2011
What did you send it: 9K Gold (We weighed it @ 49g)
It had parts which where not gold in it, so they re-weighed it @ 41.40g

How much did it deliver: We received £514.40 for the new weight which i'm more than happy with.
How efficient was the service: Extreamly efficient. Sent off the gold at 17:04 on the 29th Feb, received payment at 12:00pm on the 1st March!!
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason: Weight differences.
