What a load of rubbish this sounds.......You say you sent "around 90 grams".........How can you expect an exact figure when you dont even know exactly what you sent...I believe you are the only one to complain out of thousands of happy customers...I'm sure if you had paid the £6.95 they ask for, to return non gold items, they would have returned them. Why did you accept their offer if you wernt happy.....This sounds like a load of crap to me.....others will judge.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Anyone thinking of selling their scrap gold hang-on until next week.
I have been using Hatton garden for the last 4yrs, and they are a great company to deal with.0 -
used hatton last week sent on the Monday, 75g of 18ct gold, after another weigh they say 73.5, £980 in the bank on the Tuesday, very good honest service. I also sent a 22ct gold ring, but they sent in back saying not gold, well happy.0

I have a gold watch to sell. It weighs 52g . I have no idea of how much of the weight is gold & how much is the watch mechanism. Don't want to take it apart, is there any guide I could use to estimate the percentage?
Also I don't know what carat it is. I will visit my local jeweller tomorrow & see what they say - unless anyone can advise?0 -
Used HGM this week as well, I had three signet rings I had bought when I was an older teenager, didn't go anywhere near my fingers anymore so decided to send in to these guys, looked at a few locals but nothing compared to the online calculator and seemed ok, I just had a traditional set of scales and only had a rough weight of about 12 grams, so sent it in by SD b4 1pm, by 1pm I had the money in my bank, brilliant, highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate sending more if I came across it.
Does anyone know of any companies that buy titanium, don't think HGM does. Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

What make is it - there is a market for vintage watches.0 -

It's 9ct. Took it to a jewellers who took the mechanism out & said the gold was 48g. They offered £450.
Hatton Garden currently quoting £12 /g so potentially £576 from them. Shame that gold prices have dropped about 10% over the last couple of weeks. Don't know whether to hang on or sell now - we would all be rich if we knew the answer to that!
It's hard to tell the make, but it looks like Bucche Grod - nothing I've ever heard of but it's written in italics on the watch face so a bit difficult to read.0 -

[Mind you just because some chancer asks for fancy prices, it does not mean he is likely to get them]0 -
