I noticed the last feedback on here was at the end of last year and therefore i was quite sceptical myself about using Hatton Garden Metals. However after reading all the feedback i took the leap and posted off my gold on Monday 9th Aug ( i used 2 seperate envelopes as each one is insured for £500 if you send special delivery) One peice of gold was unhallmarked and wasn't even a peice of jewellery. I weighed the items so knew roughly the value of the 2 types of gold I was sending (9ct and 18ct). I crossed my fingers as i sent the packages off as they were worth quite a lot. I needn't have worried as Hatton Gaden Metals called me the next day to verify the weights and the money was in my account by 5pm Tues 10th Aug. They paid me £1.056 in Total, I was offered £676 by a high street gold purchaser for the exact same items!!! So dont be afraid of using this company - they are as good as all the feedback says and pay the most out of all the sights i checked. :T

Yeah, I thought that was odd.
I'm guessing it was originally posted in an old obsolete thread, and has been moved here by a BG.

Actually weighed by HGM at 48.9g but I assume this was because there were stones in one ring and I was using kitchen scales.

Brilliant service. Only after reading this thread did I have the confidence to sell my gold. Keep up the good work HGM - you deserve to do well.

Brilliant. Quoted late Wednesday, posted Thursday, money actually in my bank account Friday morning.

64gms 9 carat gold charm bracelet, offered £300 by jeweller who valued it at £995 in 2003.

    Hatton paid me for 63.2gms @8.96 = 566.28

I knew it would weigh less as there were stones in bracelet but ended up with more cash anyway because gold went up between Wednesday and Friday.

VERY VERY HAPPY, GOOD COMMUNICATION FROM HATTON BY E_MAIL.:T
  • Used HGM today and can't believe how quick and easy it was.

    Posted 40g 9ct gold yesterday 12/08/10 at 12pm

    Quoted £350

Recieved £359.30 for 40.10g and it was in the bank by 2pm

all for the cost of £5.05 postage for things that I could not use because they were sitting in a box broken.

Excellent service and I would use again without doubt.:T
  • After reading Martin's money tips I posted off 30g of old gold jewellery and a 1/2 sovereign yesterday and they have posted a cheque to me today for over £350. How cool is that, I'm absolutely delighted and would recommend this company to everyone. :T
