what a brilliant service !!!!!!!

i posted my gold and silver to them on friday 5 June.
On monday 7 june @ 13.01 received email confirming how much my jewellery was worth - £517 - exactly what it came to on their web site calculator. cheque received tuesday morning. excellent speedy service.:T

as a point of interest i had previously sent the same jewellery to another on line site (the one that anne diamond endorses) and they offered me £168 when i laughed at them:rotfl: and told them to return my items they increased their offer to £368. sooo glad i stuck to my guns and got my items back :T

I would highly recommend HGM, I was a bit wary of a postal service, but after reading the forum comments I decided to give it a go. Very pleased with the service-rang them for advice regards sending the gold which they happily explained the procedure etc. Recieved email to say transfer of money had been made to my account Brilliant! Got £9.82 per gram today (paid about £5 to send it special delivery) compared to others is really good-plus you can keep an eye on gold prices on their website. Thankyou:T

The scrap gold market is a minefield, but by reading the articles and posts on this site I felt confident enough to use Hatton Garden Metals. What can I say? I was very impressed! The items were dispatched by Special Delivery yesterday (08/06/2010) and the money was in my account by 1pm today! They paid £852.87 for a full Krugerrand & £9.82 per gram of 9ct gold. That was significantly more than any other company!! After lots of research I have reached the conclusion that the High Street jewellers are the worst, but they are closely followed by the heavily advertised companies. The ones that use ex-TV stars to try and enhance their credibility tend to be offering the lowest prices, but I suppose they have to raise the money to pay for the stars wages?! I'd like to thank everyone on here for posting their feedback, as it ensured I didn't make an expensive mistake. :T

WOW went on Hatton Garden Metals website yesterday (Tuesday 8th June 2010). I estimated my gold to be 23g of 9ct and they sent an email back today confirming they had received 23.10g of 9ct gold and I received payment of £226.84 into my bank account today.

Am sooooo pleased with the service and their speedy handling of things. Would definately recommend this service!!!!

Sent my mum's gold yesterday weighing in at 25g. My Dad had removed any stones so they wouldn't weigh more. Item received this morning and by 9.15 logged on HGM and it had been processed. Just received confirmation at 11:04 that payment has been made.

Weight increased to 25.10g @ £9.62 = £241.46

Pity I didn't send it when I did mine on Monday as price was £9.98.

My Mum was going to go to a local shop and I persuaded her to use HGM - she'll be glad I did.

!!! DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE USE HGM !!! Highly recommended

I posted 100gr of gold yesterday and was clearly very anxious that everything would go smoothly.
Well, the money is in my account already and the exact amount that I thought I would receive based on today's gold price.
I chose this merchant over all the others on the Internet purely because of this thread on moneysavingexpert.com. I did not trust the feedback posted on other merchants' websites for a second. I did trust this thread to be genuine and I'm glad I did because I have finally replenished a long-standing overdraft in a completely painless way...just posting gold I have been given but never used!
This merchant is very honest and I highly recommend it.

Unbelievable service. I was very wary and rang Hatton Garden Metals and spoke to Gary who reassured me that posting by Special Delivery was very safe and insured and that HGM dealt with all packages the morning they receive them. True to his word, I posted my package at 1.15pm on 15.6.10 and had a phone call during the next morning to confirm weights and carats, and the cash was in my account less than 24 hours after posting - cannot fault the service or the price paid. (About 50% more than that offered at a Gold Party!) If you have gold to sell - don't hesitate - send it off to HGM.:T

Dashed to the post office and caught the last 'special delivery' of the day at about 4.30pm yesterday.

Got a call from Hatton Garden Metals around 11am, but was at work - so returned the call at lunch time.

They just went through my gold as I had a couple of grams less of 9ct then I had weighed, but a little extra on the 18ct (I use the scales from a franking machine, so not too accurate). Also, the platinum (the setting of an old ring) was not counted as they said it was just 'dipped'.

During the call, I agreed for them to go ahead - and £400 odd pounds was in my account today... Hoorah For Hatton Garden Metals!

Great service - recommend.

HGM ask their customers to give them a plug on MSE is they are happy with the service.
