I sent a considerably large parcel of Gold to them last Thursday 18th (in the morning), with Royal Mail Special Delivery to be delivered by 9am Friday 19th. Royal Mail said it was delivered on time via parcel tracker, and HGM says on my account on the site:

    Status: Received

So they must have it, however other than the two emails when you first sign up to them I haven't heard anything else, and haven't received payment yet, so it could be a scam, im getting a bit nervous now (5 days, when they promise on the site the money will be in your account at least 1 day after receiving), I could understand Monday, but its getting a bit late now. Also I have a normal UK bank account and receive BACS payments instantly, and have double checked all my details. Just thought i'd let you know.

Even some communication to feel comfortable would be nice, however when and if I do get paid i'll give you more details. I thought i'd post this just to warn people because I submitted my gold on the advice of this thread, and it seems like quite a lot may be spam by newbie posters, although i'm a newbie myself i've come here for useful advice before.
Step one check your bank account.

Just Email then with your reference and see what sort of reply you get.
(Don't simply answer any email that seems to have come from HGM, as it just might be from an identity fraud scammer).

If no reply today, try a phone call & then start making a claim against Royal Mail for signatures etc.
(I have a permanent problem with postmen who won't walk 50 yards up my drive to collect a signature. I much prefer that they forge mine rather than put a "while you were out.......go to the sorting office" card in my mail box, which seems to be the other alternative to walking 50 yards.)

Let the rest of us know how you get on.
    Have you tried ringing them?

    Any news moneymunchkin?

Well, I'm very happy with HGM and I'm not a newbie on here.

Sent my gold off yesterday, got a call today to say the money would be in my account in 2 hours. 45 minutes after that call, it was in.

Slightly less than I'd calculated, but that was due to a bangle I'd sent having wires inside to make it more stable. I'd suspected as much anyway, but I got £150 for stuff that I'd never wear again. Bonus!

Emma you are doing nothing to promote your business. You sound like a bitter female. Yes, I have used HGM and have been happy with them. Were you to live next door to me, with your attitude I still wouldnt want to use you. May I respectfully suggest you either offer the same service or just belt up, stop whinging and grow up! This thread isn't about you, it's about HGM.

By the way, if you serve over 3 million people then what are you doing on here? You should be flipping busy.

We sent some gold to HGM a while ago and didn't hear anything back initially but I gave them a call and although they didn't know where the parcel was they could see it had been signed for and they paid out without argument.
