I looked them up by recommendation from MSE, their website is very informative and very proactive in that they explain the steps to sell your item. I posted it off yesterday by insured special delivery, they contacted me early today and paid me straight into my bank by midday. I actually received slightly more for my gold than quoted due to the daily market rates on which they pay out. Fantastic service, very thorough and easy, no hesitation in recommending them.

Used HGMetals because of MSE article - weighed scrapped gold chains, earrings, aged worn thin rings and was quoted £315.61 which I was thrilled with as all items were unwearable. Sent off via insured special delivery yesterday afternoon. Received email this morning confirming payment of £312.08 is winging its way to my account! Excellent as I only had the kitchen scales to weigh items on. Amazing efficiency and a lovely little pot of money to buy my June due dated grand daughter a lovely crib. ����������

Anyone wishing to sell gold online should look no further than Hatton Garden metal got a price of £365 online but when I sent gold they informed me some of it was 18ct which I had assumed to be 9 ct and that they weighed the gold heavier than I had. Extremely impressed with the honesty and fair pricing of this company. Gold sent of Thursday 4.30pm by special delivery money in bank by 1.00pm next day top marks HGM will definitely recommend. 👏👏😀

Used HGM last week after months of thinking about it.
The online calculator estimated what I would receive for my broken and unwanted gold and I was happy with the quote.
Sent parcel and received my cheque the following day.
I actually received more than expected as one of items weighed more than I thought and the price of gold had risen that day.
I was kept well informed throughout process and, when I 'phoned to clarify something, the young lady I spoke to was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable.
Excellent service. Very happy.

I have used him for both buying and selling gold coins. My latest sale was outstanding. Price is clearly shown on the website. Confirmation of receipt was shown on my account within 1 hour of receipt as shown by Royal Mail and the proceeds were in my bank account by midday!
Doesn't get any better than that.

I sent two gold rings off yesterday by special delivery. HGM received the rings today and also paid the amount direct to my bank today - great service!

The quote on their site was about £373, and I got £351 so not a huge difference and very happy with it. The difference in price was due to the weight being slightly different from what we had calculated as we only had standard digital kitchen scales.

Would use again, and highly recommend

Brilliant service from this company.
Scrap gold was sent on 16th March 2016 and payment arrived in my bank by midday on 17th March.
The price received was £5 more than quoted on the site due to a slight increase in the gold price fix. I received £496 while local dealers had quoted between £220 and £315.
I highly recommend this company.

How much did it deliver? Very close
How efficient was the service? Very
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason? Because my weights weren't super accurate.

My process was as follows:
Logged onto site and got valuation for my coins.
Happy with valuation.
Sent coins via special delivery on Tuesday 29th
Email sent to me, next day, 30th, confirming price to be paid to me - slightly higher than initial valuation.
Money in my bank account by 12.15 on the 30th.
Excellent service, can't praise highly enough.
