What did you send it? 2 Gold Sovereigns and a gold chain
How much did it promise you? I put it all in as scrap gold as didn't realise the sovereigns were full sovereigns and it promised me £187
How much did it deliver? Advised me that the sovereigns were full ones and would be priced as that rather than scrap gold and gave me £400.45
How efficient was the service? Extremely, posted special delivery, received next day and payment confirmed by 10am
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason? N/a
Anything else other people should know? Offer very good pricing, great service, give you best price even if you send an item in that is worth more under another category.

What did you send: Chains and other bits of scrap gold
How much did it promise: £215 based on the weight I estimated using ordinary kitchen scales 24 grams.
How much delivered £209 the actual weight was 23.30 grams but I was very happy with this.
I had had this gold lying around for a couple of years and kept meaning to do something with it but was put off as it seemed too much hassle. However the whole transaction was so easy and quick, I posted the gold registered post and by the next lunchtime the cash was in my account.

I looked on Hatton Garden Metals on Tuesday night, checked the price of my gold, sent my 18ct gold bracelet by special delivery on Wednesday, got a phone call early Thursday morning and Zoe confirmed the price of £280 exactly what it said on the website. The money (slightly more) was in my bank account by 12 today (Thursday) less than 24 hours after posting. I cannot recommend these guys strongly enough and would definitely use them again. I have already recommended them to my family and friends.

Excellent service from Hatton Garden Metals. They quoted on line for gold I had and did exactly what they promised - they returned cheque to me same day they received the gold. Excellent no fuss service. Would definitely recommend this company.

I used HGM yesterday - posted collection of scrap gold at 4pm by special delivery (£10) - money in bank lunch time today.
Collected £992 for Church project after collecting scrap bits of gold.
Would happily recommend this company for their promptness and for their clarity of communication.

How efficient was the service? Fantastic - money was in my account by 11am on Monday
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason? Paid slightly more as gold price had shifted
Anything else other people should know? be aware that the weight of your gold may differ slightly if you use normal kitchen scales as these are not as accurate as the jewellery scales they use.

Highly recommend and would definitely use again - was paid £40 more than the highest jewellers shop quote I received.

Got to admit I was in two minds about sending some scrap/unwanted gold off in the post, but reading all the positive feedback here, I'm so glad I did.
I weighed them on my kitchen scales, the 9ct items had numerous stones in them which don't count as they don't buy stones, the smaller higher carat items were guessed at. So, i posted approx. 50g of 9ct earrings, rings, bracelets, chains, and a few gs of gemstone rings 18ct 14kt etc. that were either broken or that I no longer wanted. Sent it off by Special Delivery which cost £6.45 yesterday.
Got an email this morning from Hatton Garden Metals giving me full details of weights and prices of my parcel, it came to £519. The money is in my bank account right now. To say that I am over the moon with this amount is an understatement. I thought that minus the gemstones I would get around £400, so the amount I got is fantastic.
I highly recommend Hatton Garden Metals, reliable and prompt first class service, I will certainly be using them again. To post items off on Thursday and be paid for them Friday is excellent, I am one happy customer.

Fab - my brothers and I found some gold in the attic of a deceased relative. We sent this Special Delivery after completing the on-line form. Hatton Garden contacted me with details of the mixed lot and a breakdown of their prices. I had to agree to the weights and prices - all really straightforward. We are very happy bunnies. Same day payment. I would recommend.

I sold a coin to HGM at their drop in counter and the service was really fast and efficient. I could have taken cash but chose to have the money sent to my bank account. It was there within 2 hours.

Very easy to use and super quick turnaround, sent my item recorded delivery, rather than special (as it was only worth under £40 - so willing to take a chance, recorded is extremely reliable) and the payment was made to me the very next day with the quoted price.
