  • Wow! I must admit I was very sceptical even though I had checked out the reviews, but I decided to take a leap of faith as I felt so many people couldn't be wrong. What an impressive service. I posted my gold off yesterday lunchtime and the money was in my account this morning! I knew the estimated ballpark figure as the site had worked it out but I received slightly more than I had expected. I received £322 which was far more than the 3 high street jewellers I received quotes from. I can't recommend Hatton Garden Metals highly enough.
This is the first time I have ever been impressed enough to post. Thank you Hatton Garden Metals.

And like all the other spammers, you didn't see or read the OP.
  • Saw the site via MSE and thought I'd give it a go. I didn't know the carat of my gold but filled in the form saying it was all 18 (wishful thinking!). Sent the package off via Royal Mail Special Delivery and received an email the next morning letting me know exactly what I had sent them and asking whether or not I wanted to proceed. I went back to the site and worked out the price I would get using their really easy to use form, and decided to proceed. Received another email soon after saying the transaction was complete and the money had been deposited.

Super fast service, wholly reliable and professional. Recommended to anyone wanting to cash in on their unwanted gold. I'm now £1000 better off and all for things that were just gathering dust. I wish eBay was this easy to use!.

I did a fair bit of research before using these - and got a higher price - same day payout and would highly recommend!

    .......
  • Did a lot of research before using an on-line service because I had previously used the high street. What a difference! I was very worried about using the post because of all the horror stories and put off sending for about a month. I needn't have worried. I sent my gold off special delivery yesterday morning at 9.30, (Thursday) and the money is in my back today (Friday) with an email detailing my order. I got about what I was expecting, as I know there were probably some non-gold items, stones and watch workings included. (Much better than high street dealers) All I can say is that anybody thinking about using HGM should go ahead without any reservations. They do exactly what they say on their web page. I don't work for them or anything like that but am just one happy customer. Thank you HGM!!
  • Found this postal gold site through recommendation of a mystery shopping investigation through MoneySavingExpert. Had my gold weighed and valued by a reputable local jeweller who made me an offer. Filled out the online application for Hatton Garden Metals which was SO EASY to follow, sent the items via post at 3pm only yesterday, got exactly what they had valued it at which was in excess of £100 more than the jewellers, and all in my account by 11am this morning - only 18hrs from start to finish!! Unbelievably good service and so happy no ripping off the customer as some sites do!! Will use them again for sure if needs be. Hope you always keep it this way! :j
  • I had an old bracelet that i didnt wear, went to Prestons of Bolton who offered me £320, sent to Hatten Garden Metals and got £510, posted on a saturday morning and the money was in my account on Monday, very impressed would definately recommend them and would use again.

As others have said, a quite astonishing service from Hatton Garden Metals.

    When did you use it
    27th November 2012
    What did you send it
Gold chains, earrings and rings. mostly 9ct, mostly broken
How much did it promise you
Approx £1000 (weight entered into their calculator included stones)
    How much did it deliver
    £970
    How efficient was the service
Incredibly fast! Money paid into bank account less than 24 hours after posting gold.
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason
They do not pay out on or return stones, so as expected, I received slightly less than their calculator estimated based on the weight submitted, which included stones
Anything else other people should know
My previous quote from a scrap gold shop in the high street was £520.HGM beat this by £450 - Almost double!

I would most DEFINITELY recommend Hatton Garden Metals. Simply superb!

  • Used Hatton Garden Metals a few days ago.
Sent off my gold and silver.
While Royal Mail was saying simply that my package was "out for delivery", I had an email saying the money was in my account - and it was!
A few pence less than they had forecast, but very happy with the service.
Wish I had more old gold.
